It stars Krishna, Sobhan Babu, Krishnam Raju and Kaikala Satyanarayana in the lead roles while Jamuna, Vijaya Nirmala, Anjali Devi and Gummadi Venkateswara Rao played other important roles.

I think Bheeshma, embodiment of greatest Sacrifice, was projected very well and a little bit more comparatively, through the wonderful acting of Mukesh Khanna, who literally lived as Bheeshma (at his very young age !) by understanding the nature of that prime character (only due to Bheeshma's noble act for the sake of his father due to unavoidable circumstances, other things could emerge and all the others could attain the throne) in BR Chopra's Mahabharathaa. The scene containing Bheeshma taking Vow (Prathigna) was marvellous in picturisation totally in all aspects. V.GIRIPRASAD (70)

Bishma and karnan was portrayed wrongly in the movie. Bhishma is equivalent to Guru Parasuram. Karnan best archery warrior. Without Krishna tricks Pandavas won't be able to win the war. The true story of Saguni is different, he want to defeat Bhishma with his tricks. Mahabaratham is a epic each character has a story, it take time to learn and understand. Even Krish also had his fate after the cold war.

It’s abhimanyu who attacked dussasan and broke his chariot. Dussasan son just fought for defence. Both of them engaged in duel and fell unconscious. Dussasan son crushed abhimanyu under his mace. Abhimanyu was armed when he fought with son of dussasan. so abhimanyu was not weaponless. Kuru warrior were really brave warriors who allowed abhimanyu to fight son of dussasana. They could have killed him in group attack (like pandavas killed alayudha and vrishasen in group attack, Arjuna cuts right arm of Bhurishvara) but they didn’t attacked abhimanyu when abhimanyu was engaged with dussasan’s son] Even if you read original mahabharata under microscope , you won't find that any Pandava warriors killed by deceit, but you can find that Kuru warriors were slained by deceit.
