This keyboard is the SAME as the ASHTON AK280! Slightly different graphics and color layout of buttons and panel but the case,sounds and keys are the same as the ASHTON brand. I was curious about this "KURZWEIL HOME KEYBOARD", now I know..

Yeah, these sounds take it in the ass BIG TIME. Not many are actually useable. Makes sense if it's some kind of re-branding scam. Although I don't know why Kurzweil would want to tarnish their name with Ashton stuff. Some corporate shenanigans I guess.

Yeah I was put off by this keyboard's lack of real Kurzweil quality so I researched it and found the real brand or a another more "aahh, now this makes more sense" brand on youtube videos of the SAME keyboard and on google images.. Mostly from other countries. Chinese manufacturer brand like Medeli, JUST like Medeli lol.

Absolutely also zmedelli, and Roland, they have all the same synthesizers which work virtually the same. They say the original was the Kurzweil but who knows

If I play a C major or even a C7 chord in the most left octave (in grand piano mode) I hear it slightly false. If the instrument does use sampled sounds than how can it be? Wasn't the original sampled grand piano well tuned?

If the low chord was perfectly in tune it would have less realism. The lower one goes on a piano, the sharper the perceived pitch, and vice versa for going higher. Do you want exact pitch or realism, perhaps a compromise? go for what moves you. Best wishes!

@@wanderowa Pianos don't have to sound out of tune in any octave of a piano, but they often do sound a bit out of tune. The thing to do is to get a piano tuner with a good ear who will tune your piano to sound its best in every octave. Also, it's good to have pianos tuned in spring and in the fall, and to keep temperature and relative humidity stable and nearly constant.
