Kurzweil PC3 - Breakfast!

I made this one for a video contest to win a new Kurz. Did not win anything, but experience. However, I think I did a cool job and it should not rot anywhere. So here it is.
Music starts at 0:49. Everything in this video is a one man project: Sound+Drum programming, sound+ videorecording, mixing, editing, mastering. ("show more" for the rest below).
ALL sounds (exept talking) are from this one single PC361, including effects. You can get the custom sounds of this video on K-Setlist or Mastering VAST. Yes, they are free and of good quality.

Uhm, thank you. Unfortunately, statistics talk a different language, and that´s what counts. However, some videos were done by very good musicians, so I am over it by now :-).

Thank you. In fact I guess I am more like a sound, reliable player who can do a variety of things that are needed to certain degree, but no real outstanding top performances in any segment. I know my limits. Being late for breakfast is just one of them. LoL.

Hey looks like the contest has been continued till Dec31. Kind of strange...I always check for videos & music from KurZ & others & yours & others only shows up now for the contest. Looks to me like yours is right up there in the top 10 in all respects.

Hi, this might have to do with the cookies in your browser and your user profile on YT/Google. They show you what their database tells as preferences. Log out, delete your cookies and then do a search. What you see now is usually completely different from what you use to get. I was not amused when Kurz extended the time. It´s not fair to the ones that had the limited time to do their stuff. With 1 month more many videos that were done in time might look a bit different.

Congrats and many thanx for a Job very well Done ..a quick question if you don't mind ; I used to have a K2661 and it just didn't sound like it did on KZbin Demos , ( Maybe it was my Monitors , not sure ) but anyway, I went ahead and got rid of it , and Now ... I am considering a PC361 , and I do not have the chance to TEST it before I can buy it , ( Because , I have to have it shipped to me from quite a distance ) so , Do you think they sound pretty much the same or PC361 has a more advanced sound engine ? ( From what I hear on youtube demos , PC361 sounds better than the K2661 ...) , have you ever played a Motif or a " MO " , and if you have , how would you describe the differences between The KURZ and the Yamaha ? +su4691 I don´t mind but it´s not a quick question, lol. In fact it´s several questions. I never owned a K26**, so I don´t know the difference. People say it sounds different, but if better or worse, I guess that´s a question of taste. However, the PC3 is a bit more advanced and is said to sound "cleaner" in some aspects, but it lacks several details in the soundengine. But I guess you won´t realize that unless you are an experienced programmer with VAST. I owned and used a Motif 1 for many years. In short: The Kurz sounds more organic and "warmer" like many would say. The sounds are less pushed and for that more natural. Be aware, not everybody likes this, because all those Motifs and Korgs and Rolands have somewhat changed our way of hearing things. It took some time for me to adapt to the sound, but then I realized how much better it sounds. While recording songs with bass, drums, keys, etc., I realized how little to no equalizing I needed to make it fit perfectly together. Take a bass for instance. Listen to it solo and it sounds less exciting like you are used to from a Motif. In the mix it is simply perfect with punch and volume - it is crafted to do its job perfectly. Other sounds the same. It´s made to fit together. Soundwise, this is why I think a PC3 sounds more professional than a Yamaha, Korg or Roland. If you ask me: The Kurz sounds organic, the other ones cold, pimped and lifeless. The surface for life situations is also great. But that´s not your question.

Just download the stuff from Ksetlist. The guitar is an altered factory sound that comes with the KORE set. You can play this sound only if you have the KORE installed, or a later instrument that has the KORE samples already included.
