Wow, thank you! I am honored. I guess I like and mostly use the same type of sounds like you do. In fact I listened to your tunes for weeks before I made that. My fav: "For three voices"! When I heard your Peak bass, I knew I wanted that, bought one and programmed some.

Thanks. Yes, the Stage 3 sounds nice and is good to handle. But as my main machine it was way too limited. In the end I found it way too expensive for what it could do and I guess I was pretty annoyed about those limitations. Not willing to keep such an expensive thingy with so little practical value, so I sold it. I recently modified my PC4-7 with a Fatar synthaction keybed, and now I find it pretty much perfect. Sound was out of the question, but I could not get used to that annoying Medeli keybed. Now I have the first and only 73key synthaction Kurz in existence... Well, there is one guy in Slowakia who has copied what I have done. And I guess some more a following. Made a PDF about that.

I do not know much about the Juno D. So I can´t really compare. Today, I´d buy a S30 just for a low price. It´s outdated and clearly was made as a low cost instrument. I guess the same goes for the Roland J.D.

I never used Kontakt, so I do not know if you can get them in the proper format. The Kurz as well as Kurzfiler can import 16bit 48khz (or lower) WAV files, and as far as I remember also .AIFF files (not 100% sure). You need to have you Kontakt samples in that format. If Kontakt has a proprietary (protected) file format, you will need conversion software. It exists, but might be pricey. Maybe you can even get them converted into ready to load keymaps. There is a company, forgot the name... wait... chickensys dot com. No cheap software. Hoever, you can have a workaround (with loss of quality and additional work) if you simply resample your files and save those in 16bit 48khz WAV format.

The Nord is sold and the PC3k6 is on stage with a PC4. You think the keybed of the Nord is bad? Wait until you tried the one in the PC4.

I will try in short. You need a drumsequence. The drumprograms that came with the lates update each have one attached. You hear it when press play in programmode. Now you have to build a Setup. You can have 16 drumprograms in it. Each program gets a RIFF applied. That RIFF takes its data out of the dumsequence, so it can play as it does when you start play in programmode. Now, you have to set one key to start that RIFF and to stop with every other key. You have to become familiar with that, it can also be used with other riffs like melodies. You can even program sequences that just hold a chord for some time. With that trick you can also attach chords to single keys, short noteeffects, ANYTHING that the sequencer can replay. In short: You start and stop segments of songsequences with a key. To some degree it can help out with not having any sampling in the PC3 nonK, since you can create loops with any sound in the synth.

I don´t, I am just quite busy playing livegigs and learning+programming new songs.

The K26 can also load samples. The synth engine has some features that are not present in the later models and vice versa. But you can load 90% of the old Kseries sounds into the newer ones. The newer have a higher fidelity sound, more porwerful FX sections, more voices, way more sampling ram and non volatile, FM engine, step-modulationsequencer and lower quality hardware.

I know the specs but I seem to like the 2500/2600 sound better, but the PC3 has more realistic samples and better editor, a bit modernized. but I love those K2600 90s convertors and sound. I dont know which one to get. The PC3 still looks verry cool and good sounding. What would be your advice between these 2 ? I wanted to get a PC2r but its a bit too limited

@@kicksNCY PC3. Simply because you buy newer hardware that is more closer to the taks of todays standards. I understand the appeal of a "this was a mighty, super expensive synth" once with the K2600, but, it´s just very outdated. As a collectors item it might be interesting. Do you want to actually use and play it? Think about that. Look at the prices you pay for a good unit. You pay the same or even more than for a used PC3k that is at least 10 years younger. If you want to have a second opinion: Ask Dave Weiser. I guess he will tell you the same. Maybe... if you get one cheap. Well... okay. EDIT: I just checked. Everyone that asks more than 1000,- for a used PC3k has lost his senses. I found some who ask 1500,-. This is insane. For that money you get a modern PC4 with double the processing power. Sick. No question what to buy. I´d not spend more than 900,- for a PC3k. That was roughly the used price 3 years ago. Or even less.

You can become a member there for free, but subsciption get you sounds and software for the Kurz. It´s 5,- Aussiedollars per year. A no brainer. It´s a collection of knowledge over the recent 20 years.

@@Kaffimusic I just rejoined. I actually join about 10 years ago. I also paid for the subscription but I can’t figure out how to get credits to download the sounds. You had some FM sounds for the Pc3 years ago that I was always interested in but the Ksetlist link was always broken. Do you still have those sound’s available because I still have my Pc3k.

Uhm, the 361 has no USB drive, just a slot for memorycards. But you can connect it to a Computer, there it will autmatically make a "virtual drive", where you can put suff in and load it then. It is explained in the manual.

@@Kaffimusic my PC3k has 2 USB slots already. The „but“ is here to get a proper algorithm which button should be Putten in which mode (song, storage, master or Midi etc.). In my opinion that monster won’t follow me…

@@АлександрЛапченко-н4е Take a USB stick with your Kurzweil-Data. No packed data, naturally. Put it into the 3k. Press "Storage". Navigate though the stuff to the file you want to load. Press "select". Press "OK". Answer the question where to you want to load. Execute. Done.

@@Kaffimusic Thank you, of course. But it is not so. Why, because if you have selected a certain timbre or instrument that you need to record, it disappears immediately if you press the STORAGE button. If you go the other way: press SONG, then the stupid METRONOME turns on immediately, which cannot be turned off or changed in tempo, then EVENT appears on the display with a certain numbering that does not allow you to systematize anything, and I tried many times to record there, but then find these EVENTS weren't possible…It’s a huge problem, isn’t it so?

@@АлександрЛапченко-н4е I gues I understand... You want toe RECORD to the USB stick? Not possible. It does not record audio, just store or load data for the machine. You can save sequences/songs, but also - just as a Kurz data-file, not as an audiofile. NoGo.

Check the description below part one of this short series. And maybe watch it, I explain some stuff there. Technically, read the manual. A USB stick will do the trick.

Go to Aliexpress and search for: "10 Pcs 6mm Shaft Hole Dia Plastic Threaded Knurled Potentiometer Knobs Caps WH148" and "12pcs For Yamaha behringer Soundcraft Mixer Fader Cap / Potentiometer Knob Push Cap / Straight Slide Cap 4MM". Sorry, links do not work on YTube. However, you can use different ones, just look for the same measurements. Be aware, the Knobs are VERY hard to release and put on. Take a hairdryer/fan to warm the plastics up and make it softer.

Thanks! No Kurzweil here. But could be. Maybe the bass would sound different and I still hadn´t finished programming sounds...

I don´t know, haven´t used in in a while. Maybe... try in Admin mode? Try compatibility mode with older Win versions? Sometimes this helps. When I used it, also Win10 64bit. Sorry, don´t remember exactly. But as you can see, it was running.
