However it does have drawbacks. you can still be punished for this weapon if you're new to it or if you don't know how to counter, as with any weapon. (also LS definitely isn't the only weapon in rise that has a perfect counter. ex; SNS, Lance, CB and I am pretty sure Gunlance has it as well)

Yeah... Every weapon has some kind of drawback to balance out their strengths. The Longsword has the damage of the Greatsword, and the defence of the Lances, but without the drawbacks... And every time I see someone bringing that up, there is a Longsword-main answering, that the drawback of the weapon is the timing of the counter. But timing your attacks is a big part of every weapon. Be it the shoulder-tackle, or the final strike of the Greatsword, or any other counter, or finisher in the game. The only difference being, that the other weapons still lose health, stamina, or a wirebug for doing a counter or block, while the Longsword can do it for free.

Old, very old world Kushala could use dragon element. That and its weakness is poison due to the hate triangle the trio have (Chameleos, Teostra, Kushala)

There's a video on the main TDS channel about the tigrex LS and silkbind boost. But TLDR: make the base iron sword, ramp up with silkbind boost and upgrade to tigrex without changing the rampage skill.

Well Kushala has the Dragon Wind (it’s the black wind aura) and u either have to get windproof on Max level or u get the Kushala Z Boni which negates ALL Windpressure even Dragonwind
