My mother-n-law and I were best friends too! Sad that she passed 2 years ago. I miss her everyday. We did a lot like u guys. She bought us our first house and even I couldn’t give her any grand kids, she never speak any bad things about me. It was an honored to take care of her during her last few years. She left me with everything she had, her house, her jewelry and all her cash she have saved. Me and you are the few that is very blessed. My mother-in-law is black by the way

You are blessed to have such a wonderful niam pog. Most of us wish we can have that type of relationship. My niam pog never liked me from the beginning. She doesn't support my husband and us. Nothing. Not even babysitting nor give us anything. She chooses who she loves and gives. I'm never mean to her even though she doesn't like me. I just think to myself that I do not owe her anything in the future, so I can move on. I still buy her fruits or veggies and dropped it off. As a nyab that they do not like, no matter what you do is never enough for them.

You’re very blessed. I still remember when I had my wedding, my MIL had me wore her biggo gold necklace to do the wedding. I was so embarrassed because she didn’t gift me but just to show off that she’s not poor. Every one of my family member asked if it was gifted to me, I was so embarrassed to tell them that it belongs to my MIL, she only had me wear it for the wedding.

Such a sweet and rare story.❤ Sidenote... I "heard" that when go back to your parent's house to do the traditional Hmong wedding, you're not supposed to wear big flashy jewelry. It's a sign of your inlaws showing off their wealth to your parents. Not sure how true this is.🤷🏻‍♀️😁

I used to be close to my niam pog until she started brainwashing my husband, saying hurtful things to me, and assuming the worst about me. Now I just keep my distance and love her through my husband.
