@@grant187 At first he wanted to share the advancements of the Fire Nation. But that also means they would own territory in other Nations. The fire nation prospers but only if they fall in line and serve the Fire Lord. Roku knew that that’ll eventually mean conflict with other nations and how they go about their business. Which could lead to a world war. Sozin was literally going to die without going through with his plans all the way up until the point Roku got hit by the poisonous gas directly. When he realizes Roku is clapped, he was like. Time to resume as planned. The Genocide was overkill. And they probably could have created a version of Republic City if Sozin was a dick and just worked with the leaders of the other nations.

i looking at 17:35 and i love that bolin for the most part looks calm and confident when some uses fire against him. it a good attention to detail because bolin’s entire life he’s been training and learning along side mako, whose been proven to be an extremely talented firebender. so in the series it’s always been funny to see bolin panic at times when faced with different water and earth benders but never lose his cool against fire.

All three of you are smart young men. But if it came down to it, in a knock-down, drag-out between you? My money's on Michael. No, he's not Shakespeare. But he stays quiet and observes. He doesn't say much, but I can tell he's thinking. Gabriel, Raphael? He may very well know you guys better than you know yourselves. He knows how you talk, how you move, how you think... I think he regrets knowing how you think in Raphael's case, but whatever. I also think it's great that you three do these vids together. Michael couldn't do it alone, because he doesn't react much; he observes and thinks, but he needs the interaction with his brothers to get himself involved. Raphael probably could do it by himself, but it would be a very different show. He thinks more than we generally give him credit for. No man comes up with that many bad jokes if he isn't constantly thinking. However, Raphael comes alive with the attention, and without someone with him to play "straight man" his antics just wouldn't "pop" properly... Could Michael and Raphael do it without Gabriel? Maybe, but Gabriel keeps things grounded and moving. Without him, I suspect the vids would just be Rapheal making bad jokes and Michael telling him to shut up every now and again. And by himself, Gabriel would be ok, but not nearly as entertaining as the three of you together. So, yeah, you guys make a great team.

Also bolin lavabending like a boss will never not be awesome, I’m the biggest bolin fanboy but he really needed that one thing to push his character into top tier and lavabending was it.

Suyin was a coward and wanted to keep her little kingdom with her little soldiers dancing while ignoring that the world around her in shambles. And when it was time to use her money to do good she chickened out. Even if Kuvira is wrong, Suyin isn't right. Suyin left the Earth Kingdom to fend for themselves and got mad Kuvira and her son wanted to help. And for a council who didn't like Wu, they were more than happy to make Kuvira give up what she worked for to a royal successor who only thinks about money.

Kuvira definitely took matters too far, but Suyin absolving herself of blame is also an issue I have. Ba Sing Se was without leadership and unruly after Zaheer and co. killed the Earth Queen, and Suyin decided that leaving it to the wolves was a better idea that trying to do at least something to help. The Avatar was gone for years and couldn't bring balance herself, and Suyin just tossed the responsibility of the matter aside entirely, instead choosing to focus on her own city rather than the Earth Kingdom as a whole.

Not 100 percent though since he should have listened to Opal and Mako’s and seen their perspective in Kuvira’s rise to power and he should have read the tension in the room, he was too clueless. And what kind of bf is he to not listen to Opal’s point of view ? The point is, as he was never went back to see what happens after they take-over an earth kingdom city, Bolin only saw the good that they were doing instead of the full picture as he wasn’t in that inner circle of the earth Empire, enough to make him continue fighting for her cause because he believes in what she’s doing. He said it in his letter to Korra in sn4 ep2 that he wanted to make a difference to the world rather than sit down and do nothing. In the end Kuvira also knew how gullible, naive and sweet natured he is as a character towards others and manipulated him and never showed him behind the scenes in her tyranny. Like i said you cant blame him fully.
