Jude quoted from the book of Enoch. Consequently, I can also use it for inspirational purposes. So it is written therein that a fallen angel called Samjaza taught men the knowledge of root systems to corrupt them. Using drugs to alter consciousness is regarded as sorcery and in Galatians, Paul categorized sorcery as a practice of the flesh and those participating in it shall never inherit the kingdom of God.

We (at least I know I do) appreciate the research behind this. Nothing shows that you care about your audience more than that. Also refreshing to hear the church lending its (apt and accurate) voice on certain issues. My view would be to interrogate how great thinkers in the church, like Paul was, dealt with some of these issues. [The Christian] God is not a God of rules. What He is, however, is a God of principles. Two very different, separate and distinct things. He is against anything that owns you above Himself, including even His blessings. What a Christian should principally ask is: is this act/thing elevating my trust in God or is it negating it? Am I depending on it for strength, satisfaction or (non-medical) survival? The moment that answer is merely yes then whatever it is your doing owns you and God isn't. So it all boils down the relationship with Christ and how much it means to an individual.

All of nature was made for the benefit of man... Creation is perfect in itself and as the universe was set into motion, balance will always be achieved.. No drug is evil or bad, even muarubaini is a drug. It's the misuse that is wrong. What we are not taught is that there are consequences to everything, balance must be maintained. The worst thing is to make a singular thing to be your epitome... Otherwise, seek knowledge and research. When knowledge speaks, belief sits don't quite...

Commendable on the research done on the history of weed/hemp. As Christian, we always feel the need to make God not to appear unfair which ain`t our responsibility. Going back to the fall of man, why was there a tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden in the first place. And the Bible is quite clear, before they ate God had already clarified the consequences of disobeying Him. Gen 3:18. say the "It (The ground) will produce thorns and thistles for you". As part of our punishment, God served us with daily labor of contending between Good and Evil. Countless times, the Bible reminds us to be Sober-minded. As God`s temple and with the knowledge that God`s Spirit dwells in us, Self control should be evident in our lives if we are truly in Him and Him in us. Not that i don`t sin but we should not allow anything to become our Master. Lastly, Paul while addressing Sexual Immorality in 1 Corinthian 6:12 says "I have the right to do anything,” you say-but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”-but I will not be mastered by anything." In his conclusion, he urges us "Therefore honor God with your bodies".

The thing about what the Bible calls the “works of the flesh” in Gal. 5: which I believe smoking bang is works of flesh is as a result of unbelief. Smoking, drinking, carousing, adultery, homosexuality are all fruits of unbelief. It’s a fruit of wrong believing. So the issue is not whether we should smoke or not smoke, is it a sin or not a sin because Paul said that everything that is not of faith(in Christ-Emphasis mine) is sin. If your faith is not in Christ for life but is in bang for life that is a sin. And in this place of darkness/sin is where Jesus wants to come and heal and bring light, life and immortality. I believe what we should be asking is why are our young people smoking in the first place. Why are they looking for life in Bang instead of Christ. What is it they are believing that is drawing them to smoking instead of Christ and what He has done for them on the cross. Is the gospel we are preaching really good news or a list of do’s and don’t that have driven them away from church and into the hands of bang and all the other things out there because they feel inadequate and unworthy and just not good enough. And these other things outside of Christ are giving them a sense of purpose, meaning, worth and identity. Jesus is the true light, life, meaning, worth, value, identity and purpose. The gospel we preach should bring people to see their value and worth in the eyes of a loving Father when everything else in the world tells them they are unworthy. I believe the issue is not the fruit but the root. The root is wrong believing that is producing wrong behavior. Let’s look at the root which Jesus took an axe and cut.

Galatians 5:19-21 ESV Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Marijuana is never mentioned in the Bible. As I said in a previous comment. Our youths are not going rogue because of Weed (banned) it is this alcohol (legal) that we should fight. Ata sahi curfew imetoka umeskia Vilio za wakenya?,,, bar bar bar and BARS. Hio legal stuff ndio inatumaliza not weed. Mtu akilewa ata kazi haezi fanya job but akikata maji ni ulevi na ulevi ikiisha ni hang down. Weed huisha kwa kichwa after a short time na mtu anarudi sober. Shida yetu ni juu weed is legal we are blinded and fighting it na it’s just a speck in the eye, tu nalenga log ju gava imeikubali.
