Filming in public is ok, everyone is filming everywhere, but the law prohibits the criminal use of filming, or filming someone against his well. Alcohol is not allowed by the parliament bill 1982 which has been approved by 99% of the population. Kuwait is the ( only ) real democratic country in the whole region ( no kidding ). Government support for the citizens are plenty , in corona time everyone has been paid full salaries sitting in their homes, food were giving away for ( non kuwaitis residents all over the country ) The late Amir ( king ) has launched the biggest evacuation plan for any citizen who where abroad, and all expenses of the citizens who couldn't come back were fully sponsored by the government . Thats why we are one big family in kuwait, royal family & normal citizens. Blessing , wish to visit us again in winter time 🌹

First of all, welcome to Kuwait. There are alot to see in the city of Kuwait, like Jaber Alahmad Cultural Center, Almubarkeya which is an old traditional souk, also Alshaheed Gardens. Outside the city, you will find the biggest mall in the Middle East called the Avenues it is almost one KM long. The best time to visit Kuwait is between December and March.

I feel like the Gulf is much more important/developed on its Arabian side and should be name Arabo-Persian Gulf. What it was historically named by one people or the other doesn't matter, plus there is no Persia anymore. No one calls the Mediterranean "Our Sea" (Mare Nostrum) or "Roman Sea", it's reductive. I lived in Dubai for a couple of years as a child and I never thought about the Gulf as being anything but Arabian tbh. And I've been to Iran, it's a country turned towards mountains not sea.

Interesting in Northern Ethiopia - sacred forests. Who remains prideful and protective of these? Does attention to this improve our odds of thriving here as a cooler and better watered species? " ...The church forests in Ethiopia are small fragments of forest surrounding Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Churches. Northern Ethiopia was once covered in forests, but due to deforestation for agriculture, only about 4% of the original forested lands remain. Church leaders have long held the belief that a church needs to be surrounded by a forest, and these sacred forests have been tended for some 1,500 years. Aerial photographs of church forests show them as small verdant islands surrounded by vast areas of tilled lands and pasture. There are around 35,000 individual church forests in the region, ranging in size from 3 hectares (7.4 acres) to 300 hectares (740 acres), with the average around 5 hectares (12 acres). It is estimated that these church forests represent the bulk of the remaining forested land in the Ethiopian Highlands. The religious significance of the forest is equalled by its ecological functions. These sacred oases raise water tables, lower temperature, block destructive winds and are home to yield-boosting pollinators essential to surrounding agriculture. Birds, bees, monkeys, caracals and other wildlife were found to have returned to the church forests. Tree seeds were germinating and seedlings growing. In some cases they built the walls beyond the perimeter of the forest to extend the size of the forest. ... " 😮

People drink alcohol in expensive restaurants in Kuwait. Example, they put Vodka in Evian bottles. Restaurants are fully aware. You'll find many American fast food outlets in Kuwait even Taco Bell. Chilli's restaurant is or was inside the airport. Persian Gulf because, Iran is directly across the Gulf. Super modern, how?

Glad to see you enjoyed your time in Kuwait, Gabriel! Just a minor correction: Kuwait is a constitutional monarchy, not an emirate. (Monarchy-Emirate could be interchangeable, I guess? Someone correct me if I’m wrong and there’s a better word for it.) I mean, with an Emir in power that obviously makes Kuwait an emirate yes (as emirates were common in the past, so Kuwait being one of them is no surprise). However, since we have a parliament*, a constitution AND an Emir, we are considered a constitutional monarchy, not simply an emirate *the parliament is on pause for the next 4 years though 👀 long story
