I am Kuwaiti and actually I think it's the other way around! My brother is blond so he doesn't look Kuwaiti. He went to an abaya shop pretending to be from a different arabic nationality, and he got what we buy usually with double the price. This is because they take advantage of Kuwaitis thinking all of them are rich!

No they judge you based on how you look, if you’re a well dressed Kuwaiti they give you the high price. If you’re dressed in abaya or dishdasha you get cheaper prices.
