That shoe cobbler is wrong…. In nyc there are cobblers who can fix all leather items. He can definitely fix it. The just have to remove the sole and glue the new black strap down. I’m sure good cobblers exist in an another big city like Boston. He’s just being lazy or is inexperienced.
