I recently saw a quote that said "happiness is not something you achieve, it's something you experience." This helped me realize that I can try and increase the amount of happy experiences I have but if I want to "achieve" happiness, that is Jannah. May Allah grant us Jannah Al-Firdous.

I've been on a healing journey and somehow every thought, emotion, question, and struggle I've faced through it is addressed in these episodes as if Layla and her father are speaking directly to me. SubhanAllah this podcast is such a gift from Allah and has helped shift my entire mindset and approach to life. May this podcast continue to grow and succeed exponentially, Ameen 🥰❤

I think ur talking about the verse : Whenever someone is touched by hardship, they cry out to Us, whether lying on their side, sitting, or standing. But when We relieve their hardship, they return to their old ways as if they had never cried to Us to remove any hardship! This is how the misdeeds of the transgressors have been made appealing to them.- Sarah Yunus

@Layla I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU AND YOUR DAD. How much of our past/story is important to tell when we meet new people to make them understand who we are and where we come from? Where is the limit? I feel people get the wrong impression when they see me and I feel like I have to justify myself for what I wear, say, look etc but at the same time I think is important to give the whole picture of who we are. How shall we behave in this matter?

Who is the co-host and why can we not see him ?

her dad

it is her father. i think that he is not shown because some muslims - like one who commented - will likely want to chastise him because his lovely daughter isn’t bagged up and veiled. like some muslims who are very devout, will likely want to abuse him and seek to kill her because she is so beautiful and they believe she needs to be hidden under a blanket. she Is MODEST and humble. look at her fully covered and only showing her head and yet some weird commentator is like - she needs to be veiled. so weird

I Hope you can one day dignify your deen and father and cover yourself exactly as the same Allah you are reminding us about. I like hearing your father, but unfortunately, it was supposed to be the other way around, show your dad and hide yourself that’s Islam and deep down you both know it. Shaytan can deceive us even when calling to Allah.

isnt she covered? what are you talking about? she literally is showing only her neck and head. or and her hands too. What is up with Muslim men and their minds. like cant you all not think about doing perverted things with any visible body part of a woman? the problem is with your own mind, turn to God to help you keep your mind and thoughts pure. women dont need to be bagged up and hidden .. that is only someone who is weak, perverted and sick in the head who want that. stop.

Layla, I’m a revert and the knowledge/faith you have within Islam is something I aspire to reach. I know this is a very personal journey and not everything will click in my heart how it did for you, but is there anything you can recommend to help me strengthen my faith and learn so much more? 💞🫶🏽💗

Hi beautiful soul! 🩷 Alhamdulillah, that’s so beautiful. I would honestly recommend Shaykh Hamza Yusuf’s videos. The way he speaks, the light in his face, everything about him just makes me look forward to getting to know our beautiful religion more and more!
