@@markham.record if you need a big project, create a custom word and add dangers (careful about your machine, it's graphic demanding) and make a true flat base with a tunnel form one side of the planet to the other and one more true flat base at the other said, with rails connecting them through the planet 😃

How to make a plane in astroneer: Step 1. Large rover Step 2 add a seat pointing forward Step 3. On the back place that storage that turns 1 large connection into 4 mediums in a shape of a triangle (I forgot it's name) Step 4 add thrusters on it Step 5. Add fuel and power Now use c or v to turn on the thrusters and WASD to pitch and roll (no yaw sorry) Then finally enjoy Note: it is kinda hard to use and can be wacky to start flying but it's worth it for the laughs

this marble is a piece of god if you found it then you can count that you got blessed im russian so if you play astroneer from steam you can click shift + tab and watch some pages made by people so i found a page about zebra ball, it says what if you found it you got blessed. first you must carry him in hands, then make a sanctuary for him(a column he can stay at). resources going to flow like a river. if you found broken backpack you should present loot to zebra ball, he will appreciate your tribute. he can also get mad if he dont like something if he got mad then you going to be unlucky

I had a couple of large rover configurations when I first started playing. Just going around on the planet I'd have the #3 drill bit and paver with the soil container. I'd put the Xtra large shredder on it along with a research chamber and some silos and a bunch of RTGs. I used it to just explore and I'd also start at the first chamber I landed by then pave a road 3/4 the way around the planet. Then to the North pole and back to the South pole. Then I'd go back to the first chamber and zig zag a road to the core like OneLastMidnight. I also took a oxygen line to the center with me. That way I could go back down the ramps and collect resources after I unlocked the core. It's amazing how many resources are left laying around and how many can be gathered on the way.

I reached end game years ago. But started playing again recently. Even got a friend addicted...lol. we got a server up and running last night. Going to work together on sylva until we can make a couple rockets and go our own way to settle a new planet. One other thing I could suggest as something to do after end game that goes along with your full exploration is continued byte farming. Been a while since 8ve seen an update to the game but keeping a bank of bytes helps for unlocking new things when they arrive.

One of my favorite things to do is get a large rover and a winch then attach them to the from and back then get in. I literally flew outside the solar system using the glitch (and just close and reopen the game if you don't wanna loose your stuff. Just make sure you save before you take off)

While driving around and exploring every planet, you can also power up all gateway chambers. Provided you can remember which one was linked to your base. (I wish there was a way to name them once you've powered them on. maybe for a future update with extra objectives for powering them all on :P)

I tend to power up the gateways by connecting them to the power from the train network - so the gateways are always 'linked' to my base - i simply teleport and then call a train. It would be good to name them though - or extend them so you move more things through them .

One of the things my buddy and I enjoy doing is strip mining all the way to the core, making an entire planet into a Shield World (where there's just an outer shell and the inner core), also racing is pretty fun too, the last race we did was: who would get there first, a rocket or the Bright Node system.

I unlocked all the chambers when I first played the game. This time I unlocked all of them on Sylva and Desolo. The rest of them I only have 1 chamber unlocked so I could unlock the core. Haven't decided if I'm going to unlock the rest of them.

I plan on trying to dig up every single planet and turning all that soil into resources. even thinking about going as far as having as many resources as possible using auto extractors too and making mostly compound, organic, and resin with the soil. just imagine swimming in a sea of resource nuggets on Sylva lol. Another thing I wanna do is try to connect planets using terrain and making a singular giant train system for maximum travel.

You are right, in the meanwhile I guess you will have to bear with tethers a little bit longer 😅 or you could do what I used to do, I made 2 cheap oxygen tanks, in this way I had plenty of oxygen to go around for longer sessions without tethers. One more possibility is to take a vehicle with you, it will provide you with free oxygen 😊

Maybe not quite as entertaining as your suggestions, but try scouring the surface of Sylva as a scrap merchant. and fill a Large Canister with scrap from scavenging alone. Strictly no soil trickery. There is plenty of scrap to be had and you will end up with a lot of trading potential.

This game still feels in it's infancy, hope Astroneer 2 is better in every single aspect. The sandbox elements are great but it needs more variety, true biomes, creatures, a bit of combat and defense, buildings, programable drones, space stations, deeper logistics, more textures and some sort of objective based plot. I don't mind having a smaller universe or planets as long they are denser.

What i like to do is that i get two QT-RTGS, then i would get a portable oxygenator and the hoverboard, you can literally go anywhere you want, bonus points if you have a jetpack

You just described my current setup. The 2 QT-RTGS, the portable oxygenator, the hoverboard, and the jet pack. I would have loved to have even had the QT-RTGS when I first played Astroneer.

How to make a good resource miner in astroneer! Step 1:Get a Large Rover Step 2:Print two big storages Step 3:Equip a big storage on top of the rover and the other behind it! Step 4:Equip a large rover seat (In my case bcs i play with friends) Step 5:Equip a Paver and a Drill in front of the rover Step 6:Print 6 Medium Storage Silo Step 7:Equip 4 of them on the top big storage located on top of the rover Step 8:Equip 2 of them on top of the big storage that is equiped behind the rover Step 9:Print 2 Medium Terrain Canister and place them on the bottom of the Big Storage of the back Step 10:Print some Floodlights to provide light down in the caves Step 10: Use 4 OKI-RTG to supply power Step 11:Enjoy this super equiped resource miner with a great capacity, that will go by any terrain :)
