Jake, I admire your will and determination to integrate into our culture. You did not just blend well but you live like one true native pinoy! Kudos! Hearing your pinoy accent, your po and opo, talga, and many pinoy expression and even your "pagkakamay" while eating, I would guess you may be born in the Philippines but in reality, u just learned it by practice! Amazing. I am a Filipino, living in Singapore for 10 years and I am doing the same. I am learning multi languages here, Chinese, Malay and a little bit of Indian, Myanmar and Korean too. @@johnnier.o.d4746 in a way I do agree with u, I've always wondered by he's not fluent yet in either Bisaya or Tagalog, his gf is from Cavite so Tagalog but he lives in Mindanao so Bisaya. Brett sounds more fluent in Bisaya actually than him though he knows more words than Bret but Bret tries to speak Bisaya straight even if he had to mix some English words sometimes. The only way to be fluent is to limit English if u're talking to locals otherwise he won't really be fluent.

I think you’re doing it right having Q&A while you’re eating.
