Great how-to! Thanks for putting this together! Looking forward to the remaining videos. 🤘

Frank makes this arm setup very easy. I wish more tonearm designers did this procedure.

@dragocelander6671 Yes, Dan, you're quite correct. The basic setup is pretty straightforward, but the longer the arm gets, the more fiddly the fine-tuning is. So I guess we will see how that all turns out as we move through it.👌🙂🎧

Great tutorial videos, thanks a lot! I‘m a bit surprised you didn’t use the height ring on the bottom of the VTA tower to fix the correct height before setting the pivot-to-spindle-distance. At least that’s what the manual suggests…

Hi there everything provided with the tonearm was utilised to set the tonearm up. The ring you speak of is installed on the armboard it has a 1.5 mm bolt, which adjusts to the correct height the VTR tower and tonearm assembly.👍

@@shanestephenson8423 Hi Shane, I think there’s a misunderstanding here. I was not referring to the collar that is mounted on the armboard and clamps the VTA tower. What I meant was the height ring which is on the fixing pillar below the VTA arm tower. If you’ve reached the correct height you drop it down on the armbase and fix it there. That way you have the correct height fixed and can still freely rotate the VTA tower to adjust the P2S. This is described on page 5/6 of the manual.

You're quite correct. My apologies. I had not engaged the small ring on the fixing pillar under the vta tower. I don't think this will make any difference sonically to the tonearm, but I see where the benefit is in doing this. I have now dropped that ring down onto the arm base. Thanks for picking that up.🙏🙂🎧 @JochenSaal

@@shanestephenson8423 I also don’t think that ist makes a sonic difference. It’s just a little detail that makes the installation of the arm a bit easier and shows Franc Kuzma‘s sense of user-friendliness 👍

@JochenSaal Yes agreed 👍 I really respect Franks engineering prowess.

Shane i love the overhang adjustment on the Kuzma 4point, it guarantees comparability with any cartridge with suitable compliance. In most turntables it is is set by the position of where the hole has been drilled in the arm board. I came across this problem when i changed cartridge where i had to slide the cartridge so far back in the slots to get the cartridge to align with the correct overhang. Luckily for me it just aligned with the cartridge at the end of the slots, 5 more mm and id of been out of luck stuck with a new cartridge i couldn't use without a new arm board with the centre of the arm hole moved further back. With your 4point it would have been as simple as turning the adjustment screw and moving the pivot point back. Also love that you can adjust the VTA on the fly with a record playing. The only way it could be better is if it was adjustable by remote from the listening position, but i don't know if there are any arms that could achieve such a feat. ( Typical of us audiophiles "never happy" ) Looking forward to next steps 👍

@staceymangham Lol, yeah, that's true, Stacey. We're always looking for that last adjustment from the seated position. We are never happy are we 😅🎧

For anyone without a Stabi R/4Point this video is probably a bit tedious. For me, as a Stabi R/4Point owner, it is fantastic. Well done.

Yes, I will concede that It really is quite specific, but hopefully, there's enough general pointers in there to make it interesting for people with general turntable setup issues.👍
