I have a 400 and like it , connected to a unison research triode 25, project stube preamp, well grounded, audiovector r3's and r subs, the speakers are not real close to the turntable but when playing if you tap the plinth it makes a loud tapping sound and the noise between tracks especially at increased volumes is loud, you can hear the the mechanism of the arm when it returns. I have it sitting on a commercial base, a 3 inch thick slab of limestone and a live edge elm shelf that is also 3 inches thick and it still does it ): help
