Day 69: Hey Phly! You should do a public lobby with Phriends and Phans where each team has one VTOL plane, and the rest of the planes are reserve tier I planes. The objective would be to land the VTOL plane in a cap zone (you would use a tank map with a plane spawn-point), and successfully run down the tickets of the other team. Each team's tier 1 planes need to protect the VTOL at any cost. There should probably be a 30 second delay phor the VTOLs to take off because SPEED, but, do what ya want. Hope it’s PHUN!

To know the approximate range of an enemy tank you can just mark the enemy tank using squad mark and look at the map, it has a scale on it. You can easily guess the distance from it.

What you’re doing is Called bracketing and it’s a taught technique to tank gunners when using old tanks or backup sights on the modern ones, using plus and minus impacts to gauge where your next shot should be, normally done in increments of 100M you’d receive an initial range from the commander or could use the laser ranger finder if using a modern MBT 👍🏻

The thing is with the rangefinder is that it doesnt round up to the nearest value. So if the target is at 690m away it shows 600m. Thats why the rounds often goes low.

@phlydaily - there is one more way to range targets that is really far out.(I actually just thaught of it). If you look at the map you will see that the blocks(map grid) are measured. If you use the team ping, does it show on the map? If it does you can calculate the distance using the maps grid blocks...
