This is awesome. Great to see Walter Trout in his earlier days with John Mayall who is just different class as always. Will need to get the 'Chicago Line' album soon!

Great live “club like”sound quality for a video, so much so that it’s seems to be recorded from stage right. I feel like I’m in the crowd, but need to be closer to Coco Montoya’s amp.

This version of Walter Trout is the best blues musician ive ever heard, and ive been listening for decades Seen Walter many times, but what he does today is a pale shadow of what he did back then (its still fantastic, but its sober Trout, not crazy inspired drunken genius Trout)

Wow... i saw Walter a couple of months back and he was inspired. he was playing out of his skin

Hope you see him on this tour. I've seen Walter on pretty much every tour since 1990, and the show he gave in copenhagen a few months ago is probably the second best concert with him I've ever seen! :)

@@run4buck saw him march '17,had his son with him. At that time I didn't know about his near death,man so glad he made it.saw him again 12/04/19 and still getting it done! Was that a Rickenbacker that John Mayall played here?
@nitrousninja8823 жыл бұрын
Yes, John Mayall is using a solid body Rickenbacker here that he put some custom paint work on.

That was Coco Montoya wailing while Mayall and Trout be looking at each other grinning... Mayall wasn't a much accomplished guitar player. Nor on the harp....he no Cary Bell Harrington....his voice wasn't no grand thing to hear. Nope. Mayall brought forth all manner of players and that's what he did. He knew and knows the blues and was the lone white guy who elevated it This 71 year old bluesman regrets not paying closer attention to the likes Montoya or Trout. These two guys run circles around the Shepards or Laings.

Has anyone mentioned, why is there a guy in the audience playing an upside down Explorer? Looks like he's really playing but...what an odd stage set-up.
