I feel like the Kat von d lock it foundation looks more skin like compared to the Apple one they both look great coverage wise ! I bought the lock it foundation I’m waiting to try it out on my skin. 🤞🏼😭

I have oily skin so I know the Good Apple Foundation Balm would for sure have me looking like a piece of greasy mess at the end of the day 🤪...but I think the Lock It Foundation would work way better for my skin type. I know it's already been said but Kat Von D has nothing to do with the brand anymore - I know it is confusing as they kept the same letters and probably should've done a total rebrand to avoid any confusion! They both look gorgeous on you!

@@beautysbigsister She was kind of bought out because she created such a controversy stating she wasn't going to vaccinate her child on instagram and it caused a massive dip in sales so they had to buy her out to save the company basically. They are super foundations!!

@@lotranddwknowitall that’s not at all accurate. It was all her decision and choice with what to do and how to leave the company with her vision. She’s apparently much happier to be away from all the ignorance and drama. People were even spreading lies about her incredibly lovey husband, and wishing her baby dead instead of be raised by ‘satanists’! It was all very toxic, and she’d had enough. It was an uphill fight with being vegan and fighting for animal rights from the start, but thankfully that’s now becoming the norm💚🌱🌍

@@empressah888 yeah, the buy out Co decided to keep the initials but change what they meant, so now they mean Kara, Veritas, and Decora - or apparently Value, Truth, and Beauty. so some words can translate in Latin, but not sure on the others? And yes, kat left because she thought the beauty influencer world was making beauty "unattainable" to the everyday person. The whole "power of the lens" thing I think? But daisy says it to us, skin isn't flawless, and that's a big thing for me, my skin can be great 1 day and ruddy awful another, so all the flawless skin "all from this 1 product" made life hard when I was younger, now as long as I'm not cakey and managed to cover the issues I have, then I'm happy. I can airbrush the crap outta them in a pic later if I really want to, but I don't really bother now lol. Plus what was that brush??

Nit picking here, but she’s not been completely removed from the brand’. It’s her brand, and she sold all of her shares and left the company to pursue her music and clothing line, and be the best mama to her new baby. Plus I think she found the ridiculous negativity of social media and the beauty world not worth her energy, and I don’t blame her. I’m glad KVD Beauty is continuing all her good work and continuing to be a fab brand, that cares about our planet, and is focusing on being a clean, green brand, that makes the best makeup:) 💚
