KVD GOOD APPLE CONCEALER | 10-hour wear test on 41 year-old undereyes

Hello Makeup Friends! Today we're testing out the upcoming Good Apple concealer from KVD Vegan Beauty. I managed to snag one early from the Sephora website and am excited to share my thoughts with you.
It claims to be lightweight, full coverage, and crease-resistant; I've done a 10-hour wear test to put those claims to the test.

Glad to see an early review on this! I've been eagerly awaiting this release, looks like the rest of us will be waiting until February 1st! I was a little nervous about the alcohol in this formula, only because I have sensitive eyes. I think this product is going to be the next viral thing that blows up. Not that I pay attention to that, but it does mean I want to grab it before it sells out everywhere! If you feel the need to break out on TikTok, now is the time, girl!!!

I was searching for reviews for this, and oddly enough, I also have 41 yr old under eyes lol. I'll have 42 yr old under eyes May 22nd though😢 I like the Lancome, but the smell of it makes me a little concerned for putting it on my face lol. Smell reminds me of paint thinner. Actually, my holy grail is the ABH Magic Touch concealer. I never hear anyone talk about it though. I randomly picked it up on day and ive gone thru 2 tubes and am ready for a 3rd, but wanted to look into reviews for this one first. Thank you for this review! 💜

Thanks for the wear test. It looks great even after 10 hours. I have a MUFE concealer that looks amazing at first, but after 8 hours it breaks down in my smile lines.

The problem I run into with a lot of concealers is that they become very patchy under my eyes and look incredibly dry and powdery. NOT the look I'm hoping for.

No snow here today but it was almost -30C. I walked outside for about 15 minutes and my lashes and brows were coated in ice! That's not acceptable. Hope you've stayed warm and cozy!!

Holy shit that looked good on you! I've been curious AF about this concealer since it was teased but I'm trying to be good and use up some of my open products before I try it out myself. I have to say, your review is making it pretty tempting to leap frog a concealer or two and just grab this one. lol

I was a little concerned that it would be thicker because of the consistency of the Good Apple foundation, but it really is extremely lightweight yet packs a punch. It's a freakin' GREAT apple! lol

@@KaraChapman I'm shocked really. KVD was stuck in such a rut for so long I barely gave them a second thought but lately someone has been thinking up some interesting products! They're come a LOOOONG way since the days of their Rustoleum (Lock It) foundation. Man, that stuff was industrial strength spackle!

I'm sure you already know this, but putting on lotion, post shower, but before drying off will moisturize better than putting lotion on dry skin 💙

Thank you for the reminder! I find it amazing just how dry my legs and body are yet my face is over here like "furnace, what furnace?". I literally scratch until I bleed if I forget body lotion for a day. ugh!

I’m so glad to see a review on this! Did you happen to try the KVD liquid contour? I’ve been curious about that too. I still haven’t tried the Apple foundation, don’t know if I want to with the polar reviews lol

I haven't tried the liquid contour. I, for one, like the Good Apple foundation although it's not my favourite. I prefer more of a skin tint type consistency. The KVD one blends out nicely enough, but she's thick and if I'm too heavy handed, it just adds unnecessary blending time.

@@KaraChapman ok thanks! It’ll probably be one that I skip but I did see that L’Oréal came out with a new balm foundation so I’m looking forward to those reviews to see if they’re similar. Plus it costs way less so I’m more likely to buy and try that one for that reason

Concealer is one of the products at the top of my “oohhhh, what new wonderment is this?!!”, lol. I don’t use much foundation, but my under eyes def tend towards the proverbial bag of dicks, esp as I’m barrelling towards 50, & I use it for highlighting, basically the same places you applied it. All about the high coverage here, and this one had my attn from launch announcement! So, Thanks for the content! Also, on the topic lover of beautiful makeups etc, if you haven’t checked out Salt New York yet I HIGHLY recommend! The owner/creator is an absolute delight and the products are a 10/10. I use them pretty much every time I do my makeup in some degree or another- especially nice for the easy light makeup days but totally work as cream bases for amping things up. She just came out with a high pigment skin tint/balm - I ordered it, haven’t received yet but am VERY excited to get it. She also has a black/white/red/yellow pigment in her cheek/lip & bronze/glow formulas that you can use to play around with shade mixing. At first I was like, um, too outside my comfort zone but then Hannah Louise Poiston (another amazing beauty content creator) talked about how she’s been using them & the only thing stopping me from placing an order right then was my shopping budget being absolutely dunzo for this quarter. My cart is full & waiting tho!!

@@KaraChapman thanks, it was the proverbial that really kicked it up a notch for me 😊. Yeah, I had the same thing happen when I bought the Smokey Glow pallet from Midas Cosmetics..$75 later for a $35 pallet 😖. I don’t think the shipping for Salt New York isn’t “too” bad…i used the cheapest option both times and my products shipped & arrived within a couple weeks. FYI - The Salt New York magnetic pallets she makes are really, really great too. Ive used mine daily since I’ve had it, travelled with it, etc & it’s still in the exact same shape as when I got it a year ago. Def recommend.
