There's something like darkness and a beautiful very beautiful light in their songs and I can't put into words the feelings that I have when I heard them. Einar's voice has something inexplicable, something like pain and much love at the same time and in a cetain way this brings a great peace. Really can't explain!
@lorrainestern81605 жыл бұрын
I think you explained it beautifully. I don't understand the words however many of his songs reduce me to tears, yet I can't get enough of the music......so powerful, so beautiful
@TheIris15 жыл бұрын
Lorraine Stern, Exactly! I also don't understand the lyrics or the language in which the songs are, however they bring me one of the best feelings I've ever felt and I love it, and it also makes me cry.
@w1ck3ds1ck4 жыл бұрын
It's the balance in everything. What we feel when listening to this song is everything at once, every extreme and its exact opposite... That's why it's so powerful and you can't help yourself but break out in tears. It's beautiful.

I find Myrkur music the same way - - there is the depth and intention of the person behind the voice - THEY BELIVE what they sing. They are bards and priestesses - not entertainers

@Nio Zen sorry I haven't replied b4 now. I don't get notifications anymore so I didn't know about yr reply until today when I came back to this vid and checked. Anyway, I never said we are all the same just that inner language is as it's more of an inner knowledge. A main reason that if one quiets the mind enough they can communicate w/any species.

or nationality. Which I think is probably a reason so many ppl love music such as Wardruna and Heilung. It resonates on a deeper level being it's about things that came before materialism and all the other trappings of modern day.
@Rasputina295 жыл бұрын
@Nio Zen No I didn't mean equanimity. I just meant simply quieting one's mind. As in ceasing the mind's chaos and sitting quietly. You seem to be stuck in the old, skeptically boxed in school of thought. Maybe not completely but it seems it creeps around the edges of yr thought process. Truly I am sorry for throwing out a judgment like that being Idk you but it hurts my heart when views are rigid.

(English) Turning Life from every death, death from every life. Life from every death, death from every life. The wheel sings of rings, not lines. Sun-starved wolves, horses chased. Shining Sol! Turning wheel! Life from every death, death from every life. Your self sacrificed to yourself on a wind-battered tree; knowledge demands it. Norns, spin! Fates, win! Mills, grind! Roosters, crow! Strike, hail! Ice to water! Heart, beat! Fields, be sown! Each breath, each beat, each day will come anew! Turning! Turning! Out of the gap of Ginnunga you are, you were, you become, you gain, you grow! You awaken! You awaken! Life from every death, death from every life.
