Yes, American individuals and companies have bought and can buy property in China. Look at the thousands of Starbucks, McDs, etc all over China and are still expanding easily and rapidly. These are 100% American owned companies operating in China. American companies are literally everywhere; you won't see this many Chinese companies on American land. The rules in China apply to all foreigners regardless of ethnicity, nationality whereas the USA is excluding Chinese.

Ever wonder why housing prices in other provincial cities apart from Vancouver and Toronto are also called unaffordable? All foreign buyers from those 4 banned countries are below 1% of US total foreign buyers. If Texas governor wants to protect Texas, he should ban all foreign buyers. Make it 100% Texas, not just banning 1% but make loop for the rest 99%. Besides, SB 147 clearly stated that permanent resident in the US but from those 4 countries are banned too. Different from what the Governor said.

Is it wrong that they invest in global real estate? Where is their allegiance? The USA has over 700 billionaires. The CCP has right under 600 billionaires. These people are not regular individuals. They're all global citizens. They've transcended allegiance to countries. That's reality.
