Fascinating interview demonstrating that all our relationships are based on our internal truths which, quite naturally, are not easily accessible to others due to unavoidable communication gaps caused by our cognitive and emotional individuality. As someone interested in spirituality, psychology, and philosophy, these two quotes from my favorites philosopher reflect this well: “Nothing is so difficult as not deceiving oneself” and “I am my world”. In short, fully understanding another person is quite impossible. It is also important to add that those communication gaps between different cultures are even more challenging. As a non-African, I missed full value here due to the bilingual presentation which is unavoidable, I assume, during spontaneous South African conversation. In summary, the task is worthy: South Africa region, as a DNA root of human existence, have a lot to share with the world; Let's maximize it.
