Hi Kevin. One thing special about your videos is that you describe the evolutionary process of the technology and the little bit of history would take the sting away from this technology. Thank you, sir.

One of the many ways we implement our underlay network with SD-WAN is have our customer use multiple carrier network broadband links. Not one of our customer's at Evolving Networks uses a single link, everyone has to have a bare minimum of 2, and each one of those two are with different carriers. In my home using SD-WAN, I have a TalkTalk Business and Zen FTTC arrogating together to not only provide resilience, but also present a single, higher speed connection. We have gone as far as developing a single AiO unit, with 2 x RJ11 DSL ports for the UK Openreach copper network, built in 4G failover SIM, Wi-Fi, firewall and more for the SD-WAN home user. We have another version of this device with an additional 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports to accommodate FTTP links.

SD-WAN is good for the cloud base and easy to manage by network Admin., but with regards of security may must probably, Underlay network or MPLS is more secure than overlay network or SD-WAN

Good explanation. I have a question though, what is the advantage of SD-WAN over DMVPN especially when we deploy a spoke on an aws cloud; and with DMVPN we don't backhand traffic to hub but rather spoke to spoke communication?
@kwallaceccie
@kwallaceccie 2 жыл бұрын
SD-WAN has several advantages over traditional WAN methods like DMVPN. SD-WAN has an overall less complex configuration, lower latency for real-time application traffic such as VoIP, and Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) capabilities, just to name a few.

Cisco no longer requires you to have your CCNA certification before going after your CCNP certification. So, if you're interested in CCNP Enterprise, you can go directly to your ENCOR studies. However, I personally recommend getting your CCNA first, because it lays a great foundation for the ENCOR course.

HI Sir, I have a doubt, I just need to followup on technology which will be useful for the future. People claims that SD WAN and segment routing will obsolete MPLS- Layer2 and layer 3 VPN. However still a lot of certifications and exams are with this. Is it worth to study MPLS L2 n L3 or just leave it.

What I don't understand is, that if you use the same network, under or over, *for something added* how is it you don't use it as much? I mean, ok, some protocols or some software-based probes or something will check the best path or something. That's really not anything new, however, okay, maybe the implementation is better thought-out. But how come this doesn't strain the network even more with this added stuff in mind? I don't get this at all, to be honest. From all of this, it would seem SD WAN is just a big scam to promote cloud-based business. Because in the end, it would seem, one uses even more communication, more protocols, more overlays. The data was still there, and still will be there. It will still need to travel from one location to other.

as always Cisco complicates technology, look for other brands how simple it was done, even theory by cisco is complex absolutely no need for this overlay,underlay, vontrol plane etc. confusing words, trying to show u are smarter than ur customers. other brands are more customer friendly with their documentation and technology. maybe that's why many companies are replacing their asa firewalls with other brands, their uccx/ucce with other brands?
