Videos that can explain higher end technology in a clear and understandable way are scarce. And yours is one of them. :)

Great video Kevin! I wanted to know if RSA is the only public key encryption allowed with ssh on cisco routers? Or is there a way to use EC as well?

You could have also shown VRF under line vty for SSH and also rotary port for SSH. This way it would have been awesome
@kenfk3794
@kenfk3794 3 күн бұрын
But there are no VRF's in use in the example, and it will cost you a securityk9 license that's really not needed. However, using ACL access-group should have been covered, just without vrf-also
@bhushanpatil1456
@bhushanpatil1456 2 күн бұрын
@kenfk3794 Agreed, when I said VRF means to explain the SSH with VRF itself in the example this way it could have been more aligned with production network. We don't want to do these thing in lab only. Also rotary port is key point to use with SSH. The video is from lab only so licensing is out of the scope, we can have any config with these virtual images.

Thanks Kev! Question: how in the duck are the Lo interfaces from router 1 and 4 reachable from each end? Loopback interfaces are usually locally only, unless you toss them into a routing proto, no? But we didn't set up any? So what's going on here?
@ashrafsaeed1571
@ashrafsaeed1571 23 күн бұрын
I guess that OSPF is already configured in all routers and advertising the Loopback interfaces, so LO1 and LO4 are reachable to each others using OSPF.
