Kwame Touray was one of the greatest Pan-Africanists .As a member of All African People's Revolutionary Party, I was oppertuned to chat with him ; thanks to my compatriots,the late Lamin Janha who was one of founding members of the All African People's Revolutionary Party.May their souls continue to rest in perfect peace.Ameen

This is not impossible, we are resilient and we are equipped to make a positive contribution to the efforts of Pan Africanism even in our generation. We need to unite as Africans in the motherland and across the diaspora to denounce the current faces (as we all know them to be) of imperialism, to rebuild and commence the work of reformation in very essence of it.

Blacks in the Americas who are descendants of slaves brought here centuries ago ain't African. It's drivel peddled by Stokely and other intellectual lightweights that's undercut black success here in The US

John Henry Clarke spoked that africa was enduring an onslaught of imperialism and foreign invaders for 3,000 years. From the Roman’s, Assyrians, Greeks, Persians and our main enemies come from a Western Asia at the time. So africa has never been left alone and has had trouble coming to together ever sense then.

Kwame Ture was one of our best, but PanAfricanism was started by intellectuals and remains an intellectual exercise. Rank and file workers need money to pay the bills today, they can't wait until PanAfricanism is achieved. Most intellectuals work in the capitalists institutions and won't quit for the unknown.Further Nkrumah called for an African central Bank which is a centerpiece of capitalism. No system is 100 percent in this globally connected world.

We need a rational paradigm to justify a common objective, that would not provide a target, like Patrice Lumumba. How to provide that paradigm? *When Africa Awakes* (1920) by Hubert Harrison Harrison worked with Marcus Garvey but was not a fan. *Black Man's Burden* (1961) by Mack Reynolds Both are free on the Internet. *The Tyranny of Words* (1938) by Stuart Chase George Orwell mentioned Chase in an essay on politics. He published the book, A New Deal, shortly before FDR's famous speech. He was a member of FDR's brain trust.

Ture has great knowledge and is so on the mark about so many things but why doesn't he address the ongoing Arab slave trading?
@sambasamification
@sambasamification Жыл бұрын
what Arab slave trading that is ongoing till today? Saudi Arabia and UAE, other petro dollar rich countries in gulf, became a continuation and a tool for western powers.... but you should know Kwame Nkrumah, whom he mentions here, married an egyptian, arab woman, and named his son after Egypt's Gamal Abdelnasir, (known as the 'father of pan-arabism' pan africanism and pan arabism were seen to complete each other, and to be anti-imperialist together, probably if weren't defeated as thoughts (and distorted into the oversimplified way it is today!, full of nationalism, and ethnocentrism...) would've create new 'pans' uniting people, trans-continentally... and more... but unfrotunately today, you find people claiming to be pan-africanists blindly praising qaddafi!! it's distorted!
