Awesome! My daughter has locs that look a lot like yours she would go get them retwisted once a month, but now she cannot due to the shelter-in-place order. Well, we are putting on a mask and headed to the beauty supply today for shampoo and clips. I already have that exact Shea Moisture product so - here we go! Wish me luck.

Hi ms kween jae there is nothing dreadful about our locs my dear. our hair is a part of us as long as we take care of them like you do the rest of yourself. and might I say you have a gorgeous healthy set of locs by the way. I tell people all the time their not dreds I have locs a head full of locs, mine are to my collarbone , you know every time someone compliments me on my hair and says " oh I love your dreds or "oh your dreds are growing longer i say to them thank you for telling me in a nice way not a bad way im nice, i'm glad you like my hair but there not dreds their locs im locking my hair my hair are becoming locs I'm taking them along on a journey and their is a difference in the two. Dreds are unkept freeform and rasta those are dreds. And locs are groomed retwisted and styled . sorry I wasn't trying to sound rude but I love my hair just the way it is. You

Your hair texture/type also depends, The oil and water works it just depends what oil your using. I use coconut oil, Jamaican black castor oil and rose water and put it in hot water so it’s warm not hot when I apply it to my scalp and roots. I add peppermint and lavender oil for a fresh scent .
