I train WTF style myself, so KwonKicker's style is really familiar to me. This meeting was awesome and completely unexpected! I'd kill to train with y'all! the effect of your stances at the end when you bowed drove home to me how both styles compliment each other.

This was awesome guys you two have to be my fav ppl on youtube!! just started under ITF club coming from a heavy kickboxing background and surrounded by KB fighters for years i was guilty of brushing off TKD thinking it was pointless but i have to say in the last 2 maybe 3 months i have had more fun doing TKD than i have done in years it's really opened my eyes and mind up.. struggle with some of the tech as my hand are hard wired to protecting my face and my stance is still a strong thai stance... TKD is so much more than just fighting and fitness.. Guess you could say if kick/thai boxing is a science TKD would be a art.. Either way love all 3 of them and you guys rock.

Love the video, great to see the variations in techniques from two skilled practitioners. I always appreciate seeing you respond to comments and hope that you will be able to respond to mine. I am 16 and have been practicing taekwondo for 3+ years now, while I love training, I live in Australia & have just recently been awarded a black belt. When in classes, I am left with assistant instructor duties and little time to better myself - speed, power & more advanced techniques. Could you offer any suggestions?

I've been training WTF Taekwondo but I honestly think ITF is the way to go in terms of practicality as it involves training in punches and other various things that aren't emphasized in WTF. I understand the motive of WTF in creating a more stable and safe art to allow for more sporting and tournament aspects. However, I don't see how it is supposed to make me a more effective practitioner. So my question in all of this is how can I transition into more of an ITF style of the art? like key things to focus on, and major foot work differences etc. I know explaining and entire martial art in a single comment is impossible but I suppose I can ask for any direction lead my research and training. Thanks! And BTW in my opinion you are one of the most brilliant TKD practitioners I have come across, keep up the incredible work!

Honestly traditional “dobok is farm clothes and they were usually brown or black so a white dobok is very untraditional.
