This guy absolutely knows his shit. I own a Aprilia rsvr factory, when the bottom end went I struggled to find a local garage to rebuild the engine. Most motorcycle garages are scared of anything but inline engines.

More accurately would be "KWS Motorsports' Michael Godin on the Rotax V990"...

Unless the factory manual calls for greasing the head studs, idk why the tech put globs of grease on the head stud threads. A light coat of engine oil, like used on an r1 head stud for example, required; But grease?! Maybe I’m mistaken and Aprilia thinks grease should be used on head studs, but the Japanese use engine oil. Using grease will lead to incorrect torque values. The grease will expand/contract from heat/vibration and might not return to the original molecular structure, depending on the type of grease used. Connecting rod studs can call for molybdenum, but that’s a different application with less heat. Grease can also leave behind insoluble additives that can build up over time, constricting the flow of engine oil. Engine oil is used on threads to prevent the mating surfaces of said threads from bonding to each other, in addition to corrosion control. Grease is used for lubrication and impact resistance in most applications.

The number of the two numbers you added to the cylinder is the number one that has some difference in it.

That's a great vid, very interesting. Don't often get a look inside a workshop like that. I never thought about twins taking longer to work on, but duhh it makes sense now. Haha.
