KWVR Diesel Gala: 10-6-2022

In this video I return to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway for day one of their diesel gala. On show were 33, 37 and 68 as well as the shunter shuttle, but the star of the show for me was a ride down the line behind 50 026 Indomitable.
I also indulged in some 1980s nostalgia by signing up for Rail Riders at their stall!

Very enjoyable video. I can remember seeing the class 50s flying up and down the WCML through Lancs - loved the sound they made. I was there on Saturday and it was a great day.

Great video! Locoshed, was there ever any trade in loco technology between the US and the UK. or between the UK and the rest of Europe? I feel like the British locomotive industry was very self-contained.

Crikey, bit out of my knowledge base that one! I would guess that surely there must have been some trade in those early days, but whereas factories in the UK built locomotives to send to railways being built in the old British Empire, plus I think to places in South America (or at least Argentina), I'm not aware of that happening to the US. But, like I said, not really something I'm much of an expert on...
