As usual a great video, its great to see the 4F in steam my grandfather worked for the LMS as a driver and although based out of Chesterfield he had huge admiration for the 4f's amongst other Fowler and Stanier class loco's. Thanks again for sharing.

Great video. I always enjoy the KWVR shots that you manage to come up with. And it's good to see Lucky taking to show business. Looking forward to the follow up video.

Hi great video as always. Watched your entries for a few years now but only recently found out how to add comments. I have relatives that live in Howarth and you have brought back some wonderful memories. I see you have a new dog is Penny o.k. Regards Bob

I loved your use of smoke rising above the trees etc. to create anticipation. It was a good day for smoke. The final shot of Coal Tank and Taff Vale looked great. I did wonder about the initial slip from 43924 at Oakworth. It didn't seem necessary. I have noticed that, on wet days, starting there can be a challenge.

On the Saturday, I was at Oakworth waiting for the next train and it was the coal tank and taffvale tank, it looked very impressive till I realised it didn't stop.

as always great video. worth is definatly one of the best. shame the trouble they had with guest locos. personally its shame about this restriction on the road bridge as it means 1054 is not coming to the bluebell anymore.

Thank you for posting. A question about the last two engines, how is the power sent to the drive wheels?
@pennysteam8 жыл бұрын
Inside pistons, outside Pistons were a later development.

lovely looking steam crane. Is that a new loop/lead coming out of Haworth shed past the closed signalbox?
@AndreiTupolev8 жыл бұрын
+iantrack It's the old loop which used to allow direct access to Oxenhope but has been taken out of use now for some reason.

It has to be said, with the bridge restriction it was not the best gala I've ever seen, I did go as a punter but very quickly when back to what I normally do.
