I enjoy the size and battery life on the KX2. Charging the battery outside the radio is not a problem for me. In fact I prefer charging it outside the rig as I would hate to have a battery incident, while charging inside the radio. I am intrigued as to how the optional battery pack offered by Lutz compares to the standard battery pack from Elecraft in terms of safety. I would like to see a PX2 as a future option. ( I have the UC6UAA IQ board installed but it is difficult to get it to output nicely. )

Dunno if it was said - but lithium battery option for the KX3? Presumably by replacing the AA holder and charge circuit? (And I suppose we call the other radio Volde-rig? :-) )

Yes! Panadapter option for KX2 please! I'm saving up for a KXPA100 and would love to have a full KX line shack with my KX2.

hi N6KR i have some questions no understand.question one:KX2's Main knob used long time,It becomes insensitive, why not used kx3's vfo encoder? question two: kx2 and kx3 Speaker volume,It's a little low.i think should Use a larger horn. question three,is elecraft company development kx2 and kx3's A new generation of products,is the kx4? at last, i think the elecraft kx line qrp radio is the best Background noise and tone quality is my used.

I no longer use the internal battery holder on my KX3. My main concern was due to the possibility of battery leakage damaging the internal circuits. Also the clam shell type design to change batteries is a little tedious when changing batteries when out and about. My current operation utilises a selection of external LiPO batteries where the intended location dictates where I will be operating from and the duration. Big fan of my KX3 think I will need it surgically removed should I decide to replace it :-) 73 de M0AZE Mike

This was a very good presentation for the KX2, the modeling was very good and it was very interesting. The radio is a great and best portable radio for me on HOTA and SOTA operations. It as a few weak spots especially the battery. Having to remove it to change it is just not a solution that works for me. So use an external battery and that works. Yes I would like a pan adapter for them KX2 Please.

I like my KX2, but I find removing the battery for charging really cumbersome, and it's a shame that it doesn't have a VHF. Then he would be perfect for me

keyer/paddle pcb connection is a weak point of the rig... improper tensioning introduces error displays on the rig... not a good design choice..

Shame the atu and battery are add-ons (expensive too). I think I'm gonna go with Lab599 Discovery. Their battery system will be a lot better when it comes out. I'd buy the KX2 if it was more thought out like charging when plugged in to the mains and atu as standard. By the time you get all the extras you can afford the Discovery and everything else to get of the grid for few weeks including shelter. Step up your game so my money can go to you.
