Kx250 Water Pump Rebuild

Water pump went out, sadly I didn't have a clip showing how I assembled it into the case but it's all pretty easy. Enjoy!!

I just reviewed my kdx250 service manual and agree with Danilo - with the outside of the clutch cover facing you, the large seal is pressed in first with the double lip facing out. Then the small seal is inserted with the lip also out. See the service manual... I wouldn't want seal failure after just fixing her

My 98 kx 250 got milky oil (coolant mixed in the engine oil) -_- so I tore down the whole bike come to find out the head gasket is still good. Next thing is the water pump seal. Thanks for the video man!

Y’all have me confused. Big seal facing in and small facing out. So the cupped sides are facing each other? When I removed from my bike they were both facing out.

What year bike? My 1988 only had one seal, the taller middle one in this video

Hi mate I've done all this just waiting on my new impellor shaft now but the bearing is in tight and the middle seal is in tight but the outer smaller seal with the writing on isn't as secure very easy to take back out is this normal? Thanks for your help on this video 👍

How do you get the seal out? Or can you just heat the case up to remove the bearing then just push the seal out?

Yes just did it that way on a 90" kx 125 today

I dont know if i seen right,but i think u push that last smaller seal wrong way,if im right,the bigger,oil seal must face inside,so that spring faces inside,and smaller,water seal must face outside,so v can see the spring facing outside,otherwise water will go inside to gearbox to oil. Hey I'm putting mine in tommarow with the bearing installed the big seal is put in with the spring side facing the bearing ? And the small one spring side facing me as installing correct?
