we don't have hate or racism against any people from any country in general, we a Bhuddist and Confucious country which taught us everyone is equal and same, this has been for thousands of years, it's gene of our DNA, but by saying that I don't mean we don't have racist or hatred ppl, we definitely do have, but in general it's rare to see or less radical and also we have some ppl they are not racists more about curious, for example they would like to talk with foreigners, shake hands with them, take photos with or of foreigners or invite them for drinking, meals or even smoking, some behavoirs could be easily misunderstood as racists behaviors for example touch your hair without permission just like they did to their friends, or saying you have so dark skin, it's annoying and make ppl feel uncomfortable that's true, but it's more about ignorance instead of racism I would say, but again these are very rare usually happens to those aged ppl who had no idea of skin color is a sensitive topic. so in general it's extremely rare to see any racist or hatred against any other foreigner. But if you are sort of BBC/CNN style journalist, of course you won't get welcome by the ppl, but they will just tell you go away, leave or argueing. I understand Indian people also don't like BBC/CNN style journalist, we all know they are good at smearing, misinforming, spread fake or fabricate fake narratives, because those BBC/CNN/DW don't know what's called respect and objectivity. Anyway, welcome Indian friends to visit China, enjoy your stay.
