Beautiful lures! I was fishing the Wisconsin River and found a jointed PawPaw crankbait. It has tack eyes. Finding that vintage lure made my day!

I love this video, Canadian boy here. I have been collecting for about 20 years now. Read the history , bought the books etc. I have about 250 lures in my collection and still learn something everytime I get a new "old" one. Such a great hobby and preserving history.

I love the look of fishing flies, small, simple, interesting and no too big and hard to collect. Would love to see a collection of those

I hear ya...can be pricey. But there is lots of less expensive types a person can collect. Heddon river runts are plentiful ,, many colours and different designs. Jointed, floating, sinking, weedless , illuminues. Many times found 'new in box' nib . Good start , and usually not expensive. Look in local antique stores, yard sales etc. But educate yourself a bit. Know what your buying 😊😊😊

My best all time favorite would be the Heddon vampire ...1921 I think with one screw that secures lip and hook hardware together. After that I have many Heddon vamp spook baits in allmost every colour offered in the earlier years 😊

I think the reason so many lure manufacturers are in that area is because that area manufactured a lot of things in the good old days. And its pronounced, dough-wah-jack by the way. I grew up right about in the middle of all those manufacturers. Spent a lot of time fishing Paw Paw Lake, and Little Paw Paw too. My aunt worked at Heddonn in the 60s.
