After watching the video and laughing soo hard, I think I have a good description of temple 51. I think it's very disjointed and random. Your eyes can't run easily from one sight to the next. It's obvious though that the amount of faith there is overwhelming. Thank you so much for the video and for the huge laughs 😂

Wow! Usually, I watch your videos from home and dream about going to those places someday... but THIS time, I'm watching your video and see a place I WAS JUST AT LAST WEEK! Ishite-ji (Pilgrimage Temple 51) was... interesting. (We made a video about it too but it's going to take months for me to edit everything. Haha.) I'm glad you guys went into the cave. There are actually 2 caves there. We saw the entrance to the second one and noped out. Too dark and... did you notice how many giant spiders were hanging around that temple?! We also walked up that road that you came out of the cave on. Looks like you went right, whereas we started from there and went the opposite direction. It eventually links back up with the orange temple from your previous video with the really long stairs leading up to it. It's pretty cool to actually know how things from your videos fit together after being there in person!

Oh wow, awesome. Yea, that little area was awesome, wish we had more time to check it out. The spiders are somewhat seasonal, you see a lot more of them during the fall so they weren't out during the spring we we filmed. As you know, it takes a while to edit it all, haha. -E

I think the statues at temple 51 are donations from pilgrims from other countries due to the famous 88 temple’s route. If a temple is really famous internationally or has a relic of the Buddha you will see those types of embellishments.

That deserted castle was super badass! I'd totally go invade on a tandem bike, just need to find someone to fight for me when the groundskeepers get mad or whatever. This was a lot of fun, as always thanks for sharing! And don't feel bad, Kyde, even before I went blind I fell down like at least twice a day so I'd have wiped out on that bike about ten times. It's all good as long as you don't break anything (except your pants, RIP to them).

We use Mappru (まっぷる) but most of them are in Japanese only. I think they do have some larger locations in English now, but I'm not sure where you'd buy them. -E
