Kye Kelley and the Musi 959 tear down and rebuild.

After a couple weeks of racing I had to pull the Musi 959 engine apart, check it over, and put some rings in it. As you can see everything turned out pretty good. RROOOOGGAAAA

Dude. I am really happy to see that a guy who is extremely competitive and is actually a front runner comes from a humble shop most any blue collar guy could own. No massive square foot complex with built in machine shops etc. Granted you have a very well known sponsor, but the fact you are doing it in your back yard speaks volumes and keeps aspiring enthusiast's driven to continue in their craft. I'm surprised so many are impressed that Kye does his own work. How the heck do you think he got where he is today? He's been among the fastest and quickest out there for a very long time. We remember Kye Kelly's name being mention right there with tha Birdman in the very first Street Outlaw programs. These guys are legit and they know what it takes to put their cars in the money. I'm not surprised at all to see Kye get his hands dirty,, he's been doing that since he was a kid. The fact he's connected to one of the more legendary engine builders in the game is cool as hell BUT Kye still wants to have his work in there.

I love that he does his own refresh and he actually enjoys motors. You can see the wheels turning about what he could add to this power plant. Why a ball hone and not a stone hone. The Ball Home hides whiteness marks and cylinder deformation marks (pancaking) the stone home doesn’t and makes sure the bore is true cause the stone home is rigid and flat will show if the cyl is out of round.
