Yes, but how? Like, no matter how much I dress myself or put make up to look beautiful, I always have that thought "what if people think that I look ridiculous, or, what if I look ugly". king dunno. When those thoughts arise talk back to yourself. It's ok if people think I look ridiculous or ugly. This outfit makes me feel good and pretty and confident and that's all that matters. Idk... Mmm... you already know what makes you self conscious. Work with that. Go out in that top that you like even if you worry others will dislike it. Keep doing that until you get used to it. Push yourself. Lots of times we blow small things up in our heads and turn it into a giant problem when in reality it isnt that bad. But you will never realize it if you never try to confront the problem or do something about it because you're so stuck in your head about a warped reality that you have created. I know cuz it happens to me all the time. In the end you just gotta do it and realize it's not as bad as it seems.

Beauty doesn’t equal happiness. The most beautiful ppl r sometimes the ones trying to make up for the most. There’s the 2 girls kissing, and the party girl (self depreciation intensifies) which r what we think of when we think of beautiful women-ppl who have it all, all the doors open to them. But they learn quickly all anyone cares about is their pretty face so they’re all crumbling, self-destructing in one way or another, in constant need of self gratification (“I look great after a mental breakdown” or the social media queen). They have to become shallow to work in shallow jobs. They’re not OK. And like Irina said, above, the director seems happiest bcuz she has a job that is based on talent rather than looks, which will fade. Imagine how insecure these women must be. One scratch and their careers r over. No one ever truly loves them. They’re too beautiful to love. That sounds easier than being ugly but it’s still got to hurt. And I’m sure the stage director has her own story, like being overlooked by these girls who r so self-absorbed and obviously making enough to tip her properly but hardly seem to, yet she genuinely cares for them. I think the point of the video is that even if ur “Not OK” you can still afford some empathy and kindness.
