Ambulances and doctors were bombed. 4500 Palestinians killed , 1000 buried under rubble. 15000 wounded . In WW2 it was reanimated by Stalin and populated with intelligence agents in robes and what little remained of priests (of course, they were heavily controlled by security services as well). If you want to call it a church, then use its real name - Stalin's Church.

No free country would ban an entire sect of religion and replace it with it's own state created church. I'm sure other churches, synagogues and mosques have ties to other countries not completely in line with the Ukraine government. If they fear a church that much what does banning and replacing them do? Church services are open to the public, 99% of the congregation only go to the services anyhow

Well Ukraine is committing civilizational suicide on this one. Banning religion (especially christianity) is the downfall of your culture right there. I doubt that the church actually is colliding with the Russians, and Ukraine was just looking for any excuse to ban religion. This is typical. Even if it is colliding with the Russians, what exactly would the Russians be doing? In what way are they colluding?

Banning (small case) christianity? The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was targeted by Russia not to be "banned" but destroyed. It is illegal in Russia. Majority of Ukrainians belong to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). President Zelensky has many times endorsed the Religious foundation and history of Ukraine.

With women beaten and relics disrespected, including throwing the Holy Bible on the floor right in the middle of the service. And now the first monastery demolished night May 16 to 17 2024, right in the heart of Ukrainian capital Kyiv, by Ukrainian authorities. NOT rogue foreign occupants. It was beloved by many, too. Just like any place where people seak for and find peace of mind and comfort for their pain. Founded 2012, next to the archeological site of the historic 10th century Church of the Tithes, which was built by the order of Prince Volodymyr the Great, who baptised Kyiv Rus. The historical site the authorities claim to have protected by ruining the monastery May 16-17 has been lying there since 1928 when it was demolished by bolsheviks, second time in history, after Batu Khan siege of Kyiv. That makes Ukrainian authorities of today join quite a queer company of historical personas. Rebuiding the historical church would be too consuming a project. And the small, Byzanthium style one was there to restore and keep a prayer where it used to be for centuries, long before the mad war of today. I'm Ukrainian, living in Ukraine and I believe there can be no legal or common sence excuse for such actions . It hurts even more that the money raised for the demolishing works donated some local people who bragged about it in tha camera. The rubbles were cynically put in a huge black plastic bag, like a load of unsorted 'garbage'. This is what they called it, again, right in the mic of a local news reporter. The 'garbage' included icons of Lord Jesus, Mother Mary and saints of the Church, crucifixes. The local news channels are covering it in a "What a good job we've done, comrades!" manner I know this message might not be heard, but there are people in Ukraine who want peace, not shedding the final drop of blood

They did cut ties. This has nothing to do with ties to Russia. The Ukrainian government (with the help of the US State Dept) set up a parallel church who they've tried to recognize as "authentic" over the 1,000 year old Church. They've been seizing churches from the true church for years, because the schismatics leaders of the new state church support the globohomo agenda of Schwab, Soros, and Zelensky. Sadly, while Ukrainians are on the front lines (80% of whom are members of UOC, the true church) their parishes back home are being raided by Nazi militia and secret police and given to the fake church and their Catholic allies. Their priests are being arrested and shot.. it's disgusting. KZbin bans the truth
