I liked the realistic reaction of the characters for Cloud to be checking Tifa's stuffs, because in the RPG games, its actually weird that the characters and NPCs overlooks the fact that the protagonists enter without permission to private property and even checks their stuffs, like of all this belongs to the protagonist.

Yeah. Realistic is new. Usually one of the following happens. 1) The NPC acknowledge it as stealing and hunts you down. 2) No mention whatsoever. 3) Some random NPC says "Hey. You look like a hero. That means you can enter people's house and take their stuff!" Bonus points when you can find sellable equipment that you can never use (underwear)

All games have non-story based events that are just part of the game play. Your characters in lore don't actually farm tens of thousands of monsters before fighting the final boss. Your character exploring people's houses and opening chests just randomly placed around the area is a game mechanic and not in story. Though occasionally the game creators will make a joke out of it, like this.

Yeah, some people may be angry about the whole "Orthopedic Underwear" being cut (and I don't necessary blame them. Sweet Baby Inc. can go to hell.), but I'd say the intent itself is still there; Cloud is telling Tifa and co. he was going through her closet without her knowing. Hell, the fact that both she _and_ Aerith both call you out on it arguably makes it even funnier.

doing this in the original game actually has no bearing on how anyone feels about you, so it's likely it'll be the same in rebirth.

@1tiercel its a common misconception that it affects the gold saucer date, but it weirdly enough doesn't affect it at all. certain choices of dialogue and actions you take all throughout the game affect a set of points you have for each character and that determines who you end up dating. there's some weird exceptions that you think would affect your points like the panty scene and denying aerith's flower but they actually don't. there's cut content showing that the relationship system was supposed to be affected even by actions in battle, so it's possible some of the dialogue options affecting it was cut as well.
