Totally agree about the ending. The entire story and plot development is very well explained up until the ending chapters where it is so implicative in a way that basically just verbally spams a jargon and lexicon of “destiny intertwined with fate”. The annoying part is that there IS reasoning for this, the game just takes a turn in its final moments of not explaining that in a down to earth way.

Dunkey nailed it best in his review of ff7 remake. "In the OG you grind the combat to get to the story, in this game you grind the story to get to the cool bossfights" and its no different here. 9/10 combat with 5/10 story. Especially the 3rd act just gets so conviluted and confusing.

Rebirth is far better than remake. Remake had so much filler in it and should’ve been a 20 hour game not a 40 hr one. Plus rebirth giving you the freedom to play how you want makes it far more fun to play. Remake was a 6/10. Rebirth is easy 9/10

9 is generous. After putting just over 140 hrs into the game, I’d give it a 7 at most. The world feels empty, the story was convoluted with a horrid ending, and the battle system felt like a chore only after about 10 hrs in.

Is this game support save import from previous game (like mass effect trilogy/witcher trilogy/trials of cold steel series) maybe we can get special items, boosts or etc 2. What kind of exploration in this game will be, a fully open world like skyrim or large area like metro exodus

1. You will get a couple of summon materias for completion of FF7 remake and intermission. 2. It will be semi open world, more like metro. Areas that open up more as you explore/continue throughout the story.

I'm hoping we get dedicated side missions for each character that rewards the player with a particular double tech materias etc. It would serve the game well be a be a breath of fresh air if they were each well written and unique a la mass effect.
