Sonit Gorla true but drums don’t get enough credit, even the keyboardist, as a drummer myself, I can play this song repeatedly and it will literally leave blisters on my hand, I get the guitarists part but they get way too much credit, it’s like this whole song is a guitar solo but it sounds so damn good
@TheSuperkooz
@TheSuperkooz 5 жыл бұрын
Sonit Gorla spoken by a non-drummer that doesn’t understand the challenge and skill required to play 16th note single-stroke rolls at 190+bpm with your feet. On a drum that’s not all that reactive. While undergoing a full-body cardio workout. (I’d like to see herman li play those blistering solos while running at top speed) Not to say these guitar parts aren’t challenging, they are. But when it comes to the genre of power metal, the drummers are the real heroes. A power metal band without a tight, precise, and fast drummer is a shitty power metal band.

Know, SoftCheeks, that it is when your confidence is beaten like a power metal drum that you should follow the beat and most of all, follow your heart! Yes, it is very, very, very freakin' intimidating to see someone playing this like it was nothing, but always remember that he probably started at the same point as you were when you did write this comment, my friend! Never forget that everyone starts weak, but training makes you strong!

One of the indicators of a natural is the ability to adjust your time slightly to stay with the song. You did this flawlessly at the 4:08 mark for example. You started the sequence off just a bit fast and easily adjusted. Adaptability is just as important as timekeeping in my opinion. It allows you to play better live with other musicians and make the overall pace of the band seem tighter because you can flow with the guitar and vice versa. This was awesome. Love your style of drumming.

My buddies and me always say this song is on another level. Yes the guitars are shredding it, but I’m listening to a 7 min drum solo. Freaking epic. 🤘

Finally a drummer who doesn't show off by all that "groving" and "nodding". Simply plays it super tight and kills it in an incredible way.

Holy cow 😲👍 I'm also late to the party lol. You know since I've been watching drummers on you tube, I have appreciated different music genres that I really didn't think I liked. Well now looky here, here I am! I'm so impressed that I also want to learn how to play. I love a challenge 😃 Thanks for opening up a whole new world of drumming that I never before considered. Your beats are brilliant and I'm all goosebumps now lol. 🤩✌🤟

When I was Young in the 80's Our rock gods of the drumming world were in Rush, Motley, Dio and Iron Maiden, and Metallica.... Id say when I was playing those songs I was pretty spot on... These days Age is only now starting to set in well into my mid 40's.. I am fast, I really am but I am not this fast... You got heart kid...Rock on.. This is your time to shine.. Enjoy it!! If I may suggest move the crashes about 3 inches closer.. Your back will THANK YOU when your my age!!

@@markwilken2492 There are TONS of kids these days out drumming us old farts! But in our days our hero's didn't drum at the speed of light and nether did we! Nothing wrong with that by the way! Music changes every decade! But in my decade when I was in my teens my hero's were Tommy Lee, Neil Peart, Steve Sweet, Steven Adler, Tommy Aldridge! I could name a few more drummers but those I mentioned influenced my drumming style! Loved John Bonham but for what ever reason I could not duplicate his style to save my life! When ever I try it I felt like I was tripping over myself and falling on my face!

This guy played the whole song on the drums like a god, he had time to fiddle with the drumsticks and even lost one in the middle of the song. Still he did it perfectly and at the end he just shrugs. Stop talking bullshit about Super Saiyan God blue and the Ultra Instinct, this guy has clearly surpassed the designs of all the gods, impressive falls really short to describe this video!

As a guy who doesn’t play any instruments, never known anyone who played an instrument , and basically doesn’t know anything about anything in this area of expertise, I gotta say man, this is mind blowing! 🤯 Like seriously, c’mon, how do you even learn this? How do you know where to hit, and when? Its not as if there’s only 1 or 2 drums, dudes got like a dozen in front of him. Is there like drum sheet music or something? All four limbs are doing something different, and it’s not like this is a slow song or anything, lol. It seems like the guitar dudes get all the props with their solos and the like, but they’re only using their hands, these drummer people are using their feet too!! Imagine how exhausting that must be after a show. Anyway, amazing job man!👍🏻
