One of the indicators of a natural is the ability to adjust your time slightly to stay with the song. You did this flawlessly at the 4:08 mark for example. You started the sequence off just a bit fast and easily adjusted. Adaptability is just as important as timekeeping in my opinion. It allows you to play better live with other musicians and make the overall pace of the band seem tighter because you can flow with the guitar and vice versa. This was awesome. Love your style of drumming.

Music changes every decade! But in my decade when I was in my teens my hero's were Tommy Lee, Neil Peart, Steve Sweet, Steven Adler, Tommy Aldridge! As a guy who doesn’t play any instruments, never known anyone who played an instrument , and basically doesn’t know anything about anything in this area of expertise, I gotta say man, this is mind blowing! 🤯 Like seriously, c’mon, how do you even learn this? How do you know where to hit, and when? Its not as if there’s only 1 or 2 drums, dudes got like a dozen in front of him. Is there like drum sheet music or something? All four limbs are doing something different, and it’s not like this is a slow song or anything, lol. It seems like the guitar dudes get all the props with their solos and the like, but they’re only using their hands, these drummer people are using their feet too!! Imagine how exhausting that must be after a show. Anyway, amazing job man!👍🏻

i’m a drummer, it’s all coordination. when i first started my limbs would move at the same time but after a while you forget the usual muscle movement and can start to do different things
