As a passionate Nascar fan, I'm borderline neutral and against stage racing. It benefits the tv networks so they can shove more ads in your face and it benefits people with the tik tok attention span. It is both frustrating that Nascar can be so stubborn sometimes and that the general public just won't give Nascar the time of day.
@JacobNascar4 ай бұрын
@theacgkid You are right. Which is why I think a down side to stage racing is making the time frame of the race longer. Also some tracks don't produce good races. Most do. And some depend on a solid generation of racecar. Right now, the tracks we complained about 10 years ago are the best races of the season!

The trend towards red-flagging the Indy 500 for late incidents in order to get a green flag finish in started about a decade ago in response to a frustrating period of several years in which the race finished under yellow more often than it finished under green, and Roger Penske has only been the owner of the IndyCar Series and IMS for the last 2 or 3 years. Yes, there were fingers pointed at Penske in 2023 when this new way of doing things was pushed to the limit by having the cars exit the pits and go basically straight into the final restart without any pace laps to warm up the tires, which was seen by the drivers as dangerous and objectively changed the outcome in favor of a Penske driver, but make no mistake, the controversy around the lack of consistency in officiating the Indy 500 did not start with Roger Penske's potential conflict of interest. I think Kyle's brother, Kurt, would be the better Busch brother to talk IndyCar with.
@phillips53684 ай бұрын
Pat talking about IndyCar and how they threw the red flag to not end the Indy 500 in 2023 under yellow. Which benefitted a Team Penske driver in Josef Newgarden to win the Indy 500. Many IndyCar fans, including me thought it was kinda weird. When the team that won that race, whose owner happens to be the same owner of IMS and IndyCar. That’s just oddly coincidental isn’t it? It also doesn’t help when Team Penske got caught using push to pass illegally at St. Petersburg this year. Many didn’t like that, and more of how that was handled by IndyCar, and Team Penske.

Whoa whoa whoa, Kyle Busch isnt innocent in the Pocono situation. Kyle needs to take responsibility or at least 50% of fault. He blocked LaJoie while Lajoie held his line. Kyle is talking like LaJoie hooked his quarter panel.
@isaiahmarker4074 ай бұрын
Lajoie did. Kyle blocked once and Lajoie went even lower. Replay shows right before they get to the corner that Corey is once again below him. Then Corey tries to come back up in line but without lifting and he clipped Kyle's left rear. 100% on Corey Lajoie. Might not have been intentional but it was still his fault
@JEFF23_4 ай бұрын
He blocked him from going six wide.... that is never going to work in turn one at Pocono. Corey didn't have a run that was fast enough to justify Corey to do that. Corey is an idiot and has displayed he's an idiot in the past. Go back to Daytona 500 this year. He could have easily just stayed behind KFB can a spot or two instead of trying to take it 6 wide into turn 1.
