I feel terrible for Jarry. He was anointed as the Pens' future before Matt Murray had even experienced his dramatic fall from grace. Those kind of expectations came very close to killing Flower's career back in 2013 and they have basically finished Jarry's.

Dubas does NOT know goalies! He made the position a revolving door in Toronto. He never did find a good starter in Toronto. It's a common theme in the NHL these days, generally goalies are giving up goals on the first 5 shots against early in a game.

Its a start.....definitely a late start.....but its a start. I just hope this means more is to come. There is so many things wrong here and there is zero chance of any playoff run let alone making them. The team consists of one star, a couple second liners, a bunch of third liners.......and then east coast players. The defense is made up of guys that need a solid stay at home defenseman to insulate their risky play and the team has no one. The goaltending.....well enough said. The real news I want to hear and won't.....Sully is fired. Fire this man and get his toxic vibe gone! They could go 0-36 to finish, but if he is gone the year is a success.

@TheBearGuyCanada20 сағат бұрын
@@scottconrad4719 , to be honest, why is Sid required to be so great of a two way player? Stars on other teams get a pass whereas Sid has spoiled this team with being so responsible. Is he showing his age or losing passion out of watching horrible goalies letting in fluff?. With that said, Rust is not good in his own zone, and neither is Rakell......so to expect Sid to button it all up and pick up after the Letangs and Karlssons.....thats lofty expectations. Watching the games, Sid is making incredible passes that aren't being finished and if he was on any other team, would most likely be top five for points in the league. To expect anymore from him is unrealistic, especially on this team. As for Dubas, his body of work speaks volumes, he builds soft teams that can't take the grind, especially in the playoffs. Then you have a coach who doesn't like big and mean, hell he didn't play the big fella that scored last night, Olesiak, he never used Ryan Reaves, but give him a Connor Sheary or Domink Simon and look out! I mention these two, cause they were another two clowns that Sid had to drag along with him, are they even still in the league? We all like to blame Hextall for crippling this team and he has, JR for trading every pick away for decades, but I am waiting for ONE significant move Dubas has made to better this team! That move should be firing Sullivan and turning the page of Malkin, Letang, Rust, Karlsson, and I dare say Crosby. Let 87 finish his career playing elsewhere to highlight how bloody talented he is with other talented players. You watch the Four Nations Cup, you won't recognize the guy with 87 on his back, he will shine!

@TheBearGuyCanada The man was getting into fights even in the last pre-season. Cup dreams are long gone, as are the hopes of seeing them be built to last a few rounds, at least get out of the first, or even make the playoffs. Pens should trade assets and rebuild properly. Gino, Sid, Karlsson, Letang gone..then they'd have some good draft picks and young pieces and can look fwd to a new era of Pens hockey. Jarry is untradeable atm IMO..same for Karlsson unless he retains big in both scenarios
@TheFlamingPike14 сағат бұрын
I think Sid calls the shots just like Mario used to call the shots, not the GM. Besides, they have no-trade contracts ( at least, Crosby and Malkin do, from what I know ), so it really is up to the players to decide. So yeah, they have to try and convince those guys to lift their clause and go elsewhere, of course, and it would be best for everyone. But I'm not sure everybody is willing right now. They're still in the playoffs race as we speak, and I don't think Crosby would submit unless they were tanking hard.

You then package jarry with someone like eller(you traded him for A THIRD????? to a division rival,?? wtf?) but yes you package jarry with someone, even a prospect, for a second pairing, stay at home d who blocks shots and shuts it down in the third period. Then your goalies have at least some protection some of the time.
