Kyle Dunnigan and Kimbles Hume l Adam Carolla Show 5/9/2023

Comedian’s Kyle Dunnigan and Kimbles Hume join Adam as they get into Trump’s deposition and debate sharing drinks with people. Adam gets to the bottom of a busboy starting a hotel fire in the ‘80s and takes a call from someone who wants to know Adam’s opinions on sampling music. Next, they learn about an email showing a former CIA director asking to help him make a talking point for Biden’s debate against Trump.
Finally, with Chris out on paternity leave, Kimbles Hume fills in to report the news. She gets into some highlights from King Charles III's coronation ceremony including a penis shape mowed into a nearby lawn, Katy Perry struggling to find her seat, and Lionel Richie’s performance. They hear about a town in Washington outlawing drugs, Chris Pratt getting more outspoken about his faith, a hotel manager sucking on his guest’s toes, and Mark Zuckerberg winning a jiu-jitsu tournament.

He just wants to not like it because comedians live on their words. All music, food, culture, etc are completely infused with stolen thoughts, tastes, and sounds. We are one! There are some sample based songs that are low effort, egregiously use huge parts of songs with practically no editing and sometimes don't even credit the original artist. I agree that those aren't great but there are a lot of artists that use samples transformitively and create wholly new songs that are incredible. Using samples to create a song is almost like learning an entirely new instrument, it can be very difficult depending on how much effort you put into learning it. also adam, samples do exist in other art forms, it's called a collage.

2:00:40 Aceman is misremembering the story. The issue was that the Winklevoss twins came up with the idea for a website like myspace for exclusively for Harvard students and hired Zuckerberg to create it (to do the coding). Zuckerberg like the idea and thought that his version of it could be a home run (it was), so he decided to build his own and give the twins the runaround while pretending to be busy working on their website when in reality he was busy working on his. Would Zuckerberg had come up with facebook if the twins had hired someone else to build their website idea? We'll never know, but it was definitely shady how things played out. It's like if the Aceman approached Comedy Central and pitched them The Man Show but later he finds out that they turned down his idea while simultaneously hearing that Comedy Central is announcing a new show that is suspiciously similar to the Aceman's idea and it's called The Dude Show featuring some other hosts.
