It wasn't her fault! It's the venue owners who should've accounted for the excess people and the flammable curtains. Nobody had any rights lol, if you live in a rich family you are happy because you're rich lol and get pampered. If you're poor then you lost the lottery of life, men and women had to farm and work their asses off. Unfortunately life is survival of the fittest in almost all of nature, which means that women, being physically weaker were subjected to heinous things and had to rely on men for protection (And still do..) Let's stop playing the blame game and accept that we are living in the best times in human history and it's such a privilege for women to have the same rights as men, and that almost everyone can live pretty decently

Tanya McCabe was an inspiration to both myself and my daughters--my youngest was always asking me to put on some Tanya. Very unfortunate that this woman did not turn out to be the role model I thought she was. Me and my kids were heartbroken💔 when we found out Ms. McCabe had gone down the path of lesbianism.

I remember reading in her autobiography that Tanya started writing this song when she was on a post-divorce bender back in December 2002. The bit about “our girls in Iraq” was added after the Iraq war started in 2003 and the record label insisted on cashing in on the current country western trend.
