Daryl Hall joins Kyle Meredith to talk about BeforeAfter, his first best-of collection that highlights his solo albums. The Hall & Oates singer takes us back to making Sacred Songs with Robert Fripp (who compared Hall’s work to Bowie’s at the time), being on the forefront of streaming shows on the web a full decade ahead of everyone else, and working with Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart on a new album as well as covering Here Comes the Rain Again on this new set. Hall also discusses the relevance of his 80s song What’s Gonna Happen To Us with the latest war in Ukraine, his upcoming tour with Todd Rundgren, not being a fan of the folks who run the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and having Joni Mitchell backing him on the song Right As Rain.

Was at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for the second concert of this tour. Phenomenal!!! Have been a fan for over 40 years, saw Hall and Oates in concert in December at Foxwoods in CT, and decided I had to make a road trip to music city to see legends in a legendary venue. So glad I did, especially when Dave Stewart made a surprise appearance to do "Here Comes the Rain Again" with Daryl!

Gifted man....the wonderment for me, is how Daryl can tug at your heart through the lyrics of his music and make you smile at the same time! There will be no other. I am so happy he went on his own. He’s very eclectic. He doesn’t harness himself to just one thing one venue one style. He’s too free to harness himself to the same thing. His too adventuresome not to adventure. I love his time with Hall & Oates and I’ve listened to his music since the 70s but I love what he’s doing now on his own very much. Like most of his fans I believe that this particular interview was well past due💯🕊️💯 I just recently became aware of Daryl's house and started to see how far he has grown as an artist, I thought he was just simply a singer 🌹I didn't know he has multiple talents such as playing piano, guitar as well as other different types of guitars and he plays the keyboard too💕 Well watching Daryl's House I now look at him in a totally different light and it's for the better. Daryl Hall has proven himself to be a very very talented musician Boy for me that was one big heck of a surprise!! Daryl is obviously very articulate and the people that pretend to be him make a big mistake by not having the vocabulary he has. He is well read and sophisticated and the people that mimick him are stupid fools for trying to impersonate Daryl Hall. 💘

I am definitely a Daryl Hall fan, especially since I have grown older. Listening to his music during this pandemic and at my age is welcomed and necessary.
