from all physical formats like cassette tapes, records, cds etc.(past) to ipods smartphones and mp3 players (present), real music enthusiast as young as 35 would support physical formats still because they have previous experience growing up with the format before a paradigm shift to everything digitally downloaded these days. Anything on wax has better highs mids and lows imo. if your 18 its not much of a Hip Hop standpoint anymore for the teenage majority, its more of being a homogenous pop Hipster for them these days, the'res a lack of focus on real Hip Hop because its being phased out by the industry as the 35 and up now middle class who grew up on golden era Hip Hop manage a lifestyle of family domestication and steady careers with job security to pay mortgages and so on as they live as ageing adults now. if any other genre of music like easy listening, pop rock, classical jazz, and Pop R&B can be instituted in the terrestiral radio format why can't the good ol Disco Rap or Golden Era Hip Hop like Native Tongues, to DITC to Large Pro to Gangstar to Hiero to Soul Assassins have a 24 hours a day 7 days a week dedicated chain of radio stations across the country to institutionalize good real Hip Hop from those eras by now with in the states? That would determine the longevity of real Hip Hop music and reinforce folk history foundation of Hip Hop culture. Maybe its because the young generation mid 20's that run the industry of current rap music only focuses and pushes for new trendy pop songs that is mainstream friendly and digitally convenient and hipster friendly (18-20s) and adhd (short attention span) friendly, unless the'res another shift in technology that will take over stereo systems in automobiles where tablets and smartphones gain more accessibility to linking up with hardware in cars. Could you imagine if internet companies were integrating stronger frequencies of Wi-Fi/modem directly from Automobiles with hardware capabilities in the car stereos. Now big brother would definitely be on everybody's back.

I think Del had it right when he said the music industry provided a container for music, I don't understand why Dan insisted that it was the computer industry that did it. They are both containers, if anything the music industry provided a more tangible package.

well if you like hip hop at all you should listen to Deltron 3030, their self titled album. It's probably one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. Also Del's album before "I wish my brother George was here" is supposed to be a classic
