Probably the only time I've been able to root for the defense team. The media usually only reports on guilty verdicts because it's more interesting to hear about someone getting convicted. It's ridiculously hard to even follow major court cases like this because the mainstream corporate media does such a terrible job of laying out all of the information pertinent for the public to come to it's own logical conclusions. I remember very clearly the night that this happened. Twitter was blowing up with videos from the shooting, people on the ground told me and others that it was self defense, he was trying to provide first aid, wanted to help protect local businesses. To me, it always seemed like self defense, the people who attacked him mistook him for the wrong threat, and unfortunately one thing led to another.

I was literally lied on when I was 18 and spent 12 months of a 30 month sentence only to be completely exonerated once my accusers decided to turn their life to God and tell the truth... I have ptsd, I have some issues, major trust issues... But I have broken down watching this young man's knees give out. I was facing a life sentence, got 30 months and felt like I got lucky until I was finally cleared of all crimes. I remember that feeling...
