I watched the whole Rittenhouse case. I didn't know that Kyle put out a dumpster fire that was being rolled down to a gas station to blow up, with people all around. I didn't know that the Police were told to stand down as businesses were destroyed. I didn't know that Kyles's Dad, Grandma, and Friends all lived in Kenosha, 20 minutes from where he resided with his Mom part-time in Illinois. I didn't know that Joseph Rosenbaum knocked him down twice and then attempted to kick him with lethal force to the head. I didn't know that Huber had hit him in the head 2x with a skateboard. I didn't know Gaige Grosskreutz, a felon in possession of a firearm, aimed his gun at Kyle first, as he admitted on the stand. I also didn't know that in the State of Wisconsin, it is legal for Kyle to have a gun, even at 17 (which was why the gun charge was dismissed). I didn't know that Kyle did not cross state lines with a gun he wasn't supposed to have. The rightful gun owner did, as he was legally permitted to do. I also didn't realize that Rosenbaum was a 5 time convicted child rapist and that Huber was a 2 time convicted woman beater. I didn't know that Grosskreutz was a convicted Burglar with an assault on his record also. IF THE MEDIA DID THEIR JOB... we would ALL have known this!

I don’t necessarily agree with their choice to leave the original car lot they were guarding but nevertheless that was the decision they made. Unfortunately it lead to a situation in which he got chased down by a unmedicated convicted pedophile and felt threatened enough to defend himself. The dominos fell after that, putting him into an even more dire predicament where he was on the ground and about to be beaten. It doesn’t matter what you think in terms of if he’s pro this or anti that, he wasn’t there for trouble, he was literally asking people if they needed help and putting out fires. He was never violent towards anybody and he was attacked by somebody who was fucked up in the head, he shot the aggressor and was subsequently mobbed as he was running to the police line to turn himself in. He shot in self defense every instance that he pulled the trigger. It’s pretty clear, even if you disagree with his decision to be there with his rifle or what side of the cause he was on, that he did nothing wrong.

The bad cops make people fear cops in general. All black people are protesting cops to stop using lethal force on us. I have first hand experience racist cops and have experienced good cops. But at the end of the day kyle should have stayed home and allow Americans to express there right to protest. If there was a black kid in kyle position there verdict would 100% be different. He was a kid carrying around a fire arm. Clearly protestors would be scared of a WHITE person carrying a gun around them. You realize that defense testimonies are designed right? From the small things like: Attorney: “Did you obey the officer?” Kyle: “Yes I did.” (Rhetorical analysis, just building his character as someone who obeys the law) to: Attorney: “Why did you try turning yourself in.” Kyle: “Because I didn’t do anything wrong, I acted in self-defense.” (How much their case hinges on the self-defense verdict, you bet your ass they had him say that for rhetoric) We don’t even know if his testimony is entirely true about Rosenbaum. Too bad he’s dead and can’t speak his side. Oath means nothing to defense attorneys, because they can make up anything in the gray parts of the case that they know the prosecution cannot prove or disprove. I was on a jury for this DUI case where this guy was clearly guilty. Totaled his car with a 0.158 BAC. Evidence was stacked against him, but his defense lawyer pulled a story out of nowhere. He and his client devised a story where a random person the defendant met that day, they got drunk, the other man drove, crashed his car and left. Obviously, just a huge lie, trying to murk the waters of “reasonable doubt”. I learned to not take anything at face value. We the jury still deliberated a while because of that lie. But the point is that lawyers do lie, and the truth isn’t always the focus in court, especially when the defense is having their say.

Everyone knows full well if they were put in the same position they would ha be done the same thing. It is real easy to say what he should have done when you weren’t the one experiencing it. @@airsoul366 lol you don’t even know if that’s what they were intending to do… “get his ass” doesn’t equate to “kill him”. Let’s entertain that thought though. I forget the man’s name who was shot in the arm, but I’m gonna call him Gurt. Say Gurt shot and killed Rittenhouse, and he was on the defense. Gurt claims that Rittenhouse reracked his gun (his gun jammed, so he unjammed it basically - I’m not familiar with guns, so bear with me). According to Gurt, reracking his gun meant he pulled the trigger and it didn’t fire, and, despite Gurt’s hands being up, Rittenhouse was reracking with the intent to shoot him again, which he did, only in the arm though. Would you defend Gurt the same way you defend Rittenhouse, had Gurt instead pulled his pistol to Rittenhouse’s head, killing him? I mean, as far as anyone else knew in that moment, Rittenhouse was an active shooter at a protest. Would have been tragic, because we probably would still know that Rittenhouse acted in self defense with Rosenbaum. But Gurt would probably get the self-defense clearing too. And I think most people would say, including those who currently defend Rittenhouse, would say, “he put himself in a bad situation, and paid the price.” And so, when you defend Rittenhouse now, great, one less person dead… but I just think: he put himself in a bad situation, and other people paid the price.

The main cause of controversy is the hypothetical that a black man would be condemned for the same actions. While this may or may not be true (not the debate I would want to start), I find it kind of absurd that their way of making it "equal" would be to condemn this man as well. When it comes down to laws (disregarding any personal ethics or philosophies), this man was declared innocent. The exact same SHOULD happen with a black man. People are asking for equality in punishing innocents, instead of equality in being declared innocent. Don't try and hurt Kyle, use his case as a point to save a black person when in the same situation.

@@theengineer6213 exactly, i sadly know people who know nothing about the case who only seen small clips with headlines that lead the viewer to believe he is guilty without any context. Same people who also didn't watch the entirety of the live trial. They don't do any research using unbiased resources and are manipulated to think a certain way. Not to mention it almost seems trendy to be some sort of self righteous person without any actual clue of what is going on. They read a headline saying "Murderer" and a short clip that barely shows what happened without any context. They make their conclusion based on that and are too stubborn and egotistical to think otherwise. People are also just so delusional. Thankfully, I don't believe that's the case with most people these days considering the media outlets doing scummy things like this have already lost ratings and viewership after the live trial. Thus the rifle too, he KNEW that shit can go down. And he obviously did NOT want to hurt anyone cuz if he truly did purposefully want to hurt the people he shot, he wouldn't have had such a bad panic attack and broken down so hard whilst on the stand. It's really hard to see any evidence of the pain that his defense attorney claims that this put him through. When someone points a gun at you you have two choices kill or be killed. The guys attacked him first and they were molesters and convicted felons. How can anyone justify this not being self defense

2 things can be true. 1. He carried the firearm underage and that is against the law. 2. Having said that, he clearly acted in self-defense. It doesn't have to be ALL or NOTHING.

There is an exception that would allow him to carry the rifle. The defense could have gotten it thrown out at this point but to my understanding they probably want to keep the lesser charge on the table for the jury to fall back on.

Point #1 is irrelevant. He had contact with the police. No police asked him his age, even though he was carrying a rifle. I'm tired of people saying this. The Bicep guy had a weapon--as a convicted felon. Him having this weapon was illegal. So quit playing this game. Kyle defended himself, period.

The gun was legal, the carry was legal. The weapon never crossed state lines.... But but "scary gun" ..
